The New Dimensions Support Group is comprised of individuals researching, awaiting, or post weight loss surgery at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey Pennsylvania and surrounding Central Pennsylvania and Harrisburg areas). Friends and family of those involved are also welcome to attend. The mission of the group is to provide peer support and resources to all interested. Members have the opportunity to talk with the surgeons/dieticians and other professionals regarding issues related to morbid obesity and weight loss surgery, including but not limited to dietary concerns, medical issues, emotional needs etc. The group plans future clothing exchanges, recipe swaps, before/after photos and a monthly newsletter.
