I had my surgery on July 17th, so I am 10 months out. I started out at 270 the
night of my surgery and now I am at 159. I am able to get into some old size 10
pants of mine that I wore when I weighed about 140 (many years ago) but I can't
snap the waist (and they are real baggy at the seat and thighs). Seems that I
have a lot of excess skin around the middle, lots of wavy stuff hanging on the
arms and my breasts have fallen and can't get up... Now I'm trying to get all
my bills paid off so I can start saving to put everything back to where it once
resided.
I am able to wear gorgeous clothes again in size 10 and 12; however, I have to
buy the pants designed for women with a less curvy figure (the yellow "Right
Fit" variety. I'm having fun shopping for cute clothes. My 21 year old
daughter and husband seem to be bothered by the looks I get from younger men. I
didn't even notice it and still don't...
It seems that I can eat almost anything now as long as it is in the form of one
bite. If I notice that I am able to eat more at a meal, I then am not hungry
when the next meal comes around and the next day's meals are comprised of 2-3
bites.
I love that I can cross my legs, sit on the floor and get up without a major
display of manpower (help from my sons & husband), wear heels, sleep in a bed,
take a bath, and shop in a store other than Lane Bryant and Avenue...
I'm looking forward to going to the beach this summer.
Anyone else have some new experiences to share?
