I have a friend staying with us and she is in the middle of a deep asthma crisis, and is basically waisting away. Very weak. Have been treating her with acupuncture and my wife with yoga and Reiki etc and good food of course.
But the essence.....hit me as I prepared her needles a few minutes ago. I simply asked her, where are your tears?
The lungs hold the emotion of grief and are the most vulnerable of organs to emotions, especially of course repressed ones. In traditional chinese medicine the specific emotion of the lungs is sadness.
So I think Velu it would server your patients to include this vista in your work and writings about asthma. This woman's lungs keep feeling up with fluid, inner tears not being shed in any kind of outward way. Remember THE HEART IS THE VULNERABILITY OF BEING....so when one cuts off that vulnerablity and the tears of the melting heart, something has to suffer and it is usually the lungs that do so first.
