Dear Pat...
How long have you been out of work due to Narcolepsy? I could not start receiving disability until I was out for over 1 year due to Narcolepsy, however I was also diagnosed as being depressed. duh...
Anyway, yes it is considered a disabling condition. Sometimes it can be a long and lengthy battle, but you put your money into the system for all of these years. So go for it!
Also, have any doctors checked your thyroid? Reason I am asking this is because low thyroid levels will also make you fatigued. After being told for years that I have Narcolepsy, my new doctor is telling me, he doesn't think it is that at all..Which stinks because here I go again..
However, good luck and I hope that everything works out for you..

I have recently applied for social security disability as I have
continued issues of being so extremely tired during the day that I
can not focus on much of anything and have fallen asleep at the
wheel. I use to be a truck driver until things worsened. Has anyone
in this group received it for narcolepsy.
