I have to ask you a question, Cyber. When you were on Pecocet, did you eat before you took the meds? Also, have you been on any codine products in the past? I ask you this because if you weren't on any before, maybe your allergic? If you have been on codine in the past, then maybe there was a slight chance you didn't eat before taking your meds. I hope you'll tell me. As for the worst of the two to be afflicted with, i have learned to laugh(myself right into cataplexy) at this disorder!!! I have everyone close to me looking at this as an adventure, well, that is to say an experience. My family & close friends have learned of other disorders because of me being on Ritalin for so long. I was able to learn & in return teach many people (including teachers, lawyers, & your going to think I'm full of it but a local hospitals own sleep center. If you want to know about this or anyone wanting to know about this one, just e-mail it back with
the responce" your full of it", & you won't believe this encounter!) about Narcolepsy, ADD & ADHD, sleep cycles etc. I have never been under control, but I can tell you, I am 39 years old & just had Cancer removed so I can tell you first hand, Narcolepsy stinks but I'm alive & i can wake up in the morning & know I have had many journies the night before with all the unusual dreams I had!!!

In the last 10 months I have had two surgeries requiring me to be on
percoset. The only reason it kept me remotely awake is because it
makes me visciously nauseated and makes my head spin like I want to
throw up. So, gotta say, different result for me. Not sure which is
worse though... feeling sick and nauseated like I was tossing my
cookies after a college drunken binge, or having narcolepsy!!!
hmmm... I have settled on door number two though!
