I have mood swings too but I guess everyone learns to control them at their own pace.
There's no need for being rude to people no matter how bad you feel.
My husband says the only times I'm grouchy now are when I'm still half asleep and every slight bit of noise or light hurts - but I've got so good at trying to curb being rude (without meaning to) that I don't say anything mean.
It's like learning how to not curse when you've just stubbed your toe or something.
I've had to take a leaf out of my dad's book though. Now if I feel bad, all I say to people is 'I've got the black beast on my back' and they know what's up. Guess it's just like a code word without having to be verbally rude to anyone.
Body language is pretty much the only one you can't control too well but that's something for the people who love you and are around you to learn not to take offence too after you've told them.
You'd be amased how people want to be around you loads more once you've got this system going.
I learnt a little while ago that my husbands mom thought I hated her until I had to explain for the first time how much pain I was in and told her about the 'black beast' and now everything's cool! She doesn't think I'm mad at her - cos she's great for a start, hehee.
Ok, gotta go. Love to you all xx
