I hope each and everyone will take the time to thank and pray for all those involved in keeping our country safe and free. May we not take our freedom and liberties for granted and may we always be thankful to our veterans for making our country free. While having a wonderful and relaxing Memorial Day, don't forget to think about those who have served our country in the military and pray for them all, those in the past and those in the military now. We need to pray for guidance and we need to put GOD back into AMERICA today !!!! Have a happy Memorial Day! Pat (Mom)
I want to remind everyone that this Tuesday night is our annual May

event so please email me at drgibson@... if you are coming.
Our speaker is Danette Castle from LRMHMR. Anyone who could be there

Hey NAMI Lubbock members,
I just wanted to quickly bring you up to date on some recents events.
I think you will like this. We have a new liason from Lubbock
Regional MHMR to replace Janet Harvey. Janet moved away you know, so
I want to introduce Marissa Blanco to everyone. Marissa is with the
Rehab section of LRMHMR and actually asked to be our MHMR
representative. She will attend the monthly meetings and board
meetings etc, if she can stand to be around us, so be nice.
Now for some REALLY BIG NEWS!! I met Marissa today at lunch where Rex
Castle gave me an evelope containing "just a few checks" he had
rounded up for us. Thanks to Rex, NAMI Lubbock is now $8150 richer!!!
Can you believe this?? Folks, we have some serious planning to do.
We discussed some possibilities to use this seed money to grow some
even larger funds. Nothing is planned any further than the "what if"
stage so each of you needs to be thinking about how to best use these
funds to develop NAMI Lubbock.
Our next program meeting is January 23rd. Our program will be Donna
Erwin from Bristol Myers Squibb who always brings us interesting
programs. As always, support will be at 6:30 pm with the program
starting at 7:15 pm.
OK, stay warm, see you Tuesday at support.

Dear Board Members,
In the interest of time and since we don't have any serious business to discuss, I am calling the board meeting for this Tuesday at 7:30 pm, at Oakwood Baptist, whether support is finished or not. I can't see us going more than 30 minutes as I have no business to discuss except a review of the MIAW activities. If you have any items for the meeting, please call or email me.

Several people have called me wanting to know if I want expect them to be there.
YES, I want everyone there. We will not have support that night so everyone
