Howdy West Texas NAMI affiliate and consumer leaders,
This e-mail is to inform you that NAMI Lubbock will be sponsoring a regional training for the newly revised consumer education course, Texas Team Solutions on October 15th. The training will begin at 10 am and will more than likely end around 5 pm. The location has yet to be determined, but it will more than likely be at the LRMHMR center on 10th St. and Avenue 0 near downtown. Cliff Gay, Consumer Network Coordinator with NAMI Texas, will be coming in from Austin to perform the training.
For those of you who do not know alot about Team Solutions, it is an excellent product and is the official consumer education course for NAMI Texas. I have personally taught TS within NAMI Lubbock since 2002 and it has been both a blessing and a learning experience. Recently, the cirriculum went through a re-write which made it more flexible as well as incorporated some of the TIMA cirriculum in with it as well. There will be limited number a people allowed at the training and 12 is usually the absolute maximum number. I have at least 6 folks in Lubbock that are going to apply for training spots. Therefore, if you and your affiliate would be interested, contact me immediately via e-mail or at any of the information below and I and/or Cliff Gay will send you and/or your affilate the necessary paperwork to apply.
