Having problems with message search?
Howdy everybody,
The latest on the board meeting is that unfortunately, we were unsucessful in getting anyone to help us out with supplying it for us. My apologies. I was told by the drug companies (that returned my phone calls) that at this point in time, they could not supply a meal unless either 1) a doctor was coming to speak to us or 2) someone from their company was coming to speak to us about their drug. At least that's what Janssen said. I also contacted MHMR to see if they would go 50/50 with us, but due to it being the end of their fiscal year, things are pretty tight with them. That's understandable.
Right now, I'm thinking of doing pizza from Orlando's, which is across the street. However, I will let everyone know for sure what we're doing on Tuesday night.
If everyone would do me a favor, please RSVP by calling the NAMI Line at 783-9268.
Main things to be discussed at this board meeting, to my knowledge, is the future of the affiliate office and about our role in the Austin NAMIWalk on October 2nd.
Finally, in honor of the Solutions for Wellness class that will be taking place on Tuesday nights throughout the month of August, Dr. Ann Thompson has been asked to come speak at our August monthly meeting. Decision is pending (she's out of town). Dr. Thompson is a local nutritionist and has spoken at our meetings before.
