Dear NAMI Lubbock members,

 

This posting is to inform you all that our affiliate now has an office!   The NAMI Lubbock office is located at the Lubbock Regional MHMR Community Living Center at 1615 28th Street (directly South of the Park Tower Apartments).  We're on the second floor of the building.  We're slowly moving in.  Special thanks goes out to Janet Harvey and all the folks at the CLC for opening their arms out to us and making us feel so very welcome.  They have also been kind enough to donate two desks and two shelf units until we are able to furnish the office ourselves.

 

I also want to give a special thanks to Ben Thomassen who has been helping me every day with the move in.  Also want to thank Heather Peacher and Erin Graham for their help; ya'll are the best.

 

A couple of our goals that we hope to meet by September 1st is to have the office staffed by volunteer(s) about 20 hours a week, to have the NAMI Line transferred over with a call notes system in place as well as internet with hopefully DSL.

 

If you or anyone you know might have any furniture, supplies, etc., or would like to make a financial contribution towards the NAMI Lubbock office, please contact us at the information below.
