The Partners in Policymaking program, a nationally recognized leadership and advocacy training program, is currently seeking applicants for its 2005-2006 class. Applicants must be either an adult with a developmental disability or the parent/family member of a young child with a developmental disability. The Partners program, in its 15th year in
Partners is funded by the Texas Council for Developmental Disability through the Family to Family Network. The program is free for all participants selected including registration, transportation, lodging, and meals.
Adults with disabilities and parents of young children with developmental disabilities may apply. Applications are available now, with an application deadline of April 15, 2005. Classes begin in August 2005; a schedule of the sessions can be found at the websites below.
