The Texas School Nurse Organization, in conjunction with Region 17, is gathering for their Third Annual Conference on Saturday, March 5th at the LISD Administrative Building, located at 1628 19th Street (East of Ave. Q) in the Jay Gordon Room from 8-4 pm.  This years theme is "Mental Health Issues in the School Age Child."

 

Here's where NAMI Lubbock comes in:

 

From 11:30-1:00 pm, time will be alloted for exhibitors to show what products and services they provide.  NAMI Lubbock will be there to market our products and services, primarily "Visions for Tomorrow."  We need some man power mainly to talk to nurses and others participating in the conference.

 

Erin is informally coordinating everything and has said that she will be there around 10:30 am to set up our booth.  She plans on bringing all of the basic NAMI info, including alot of stuff about VFT and will also be showing the video "Hearts and Minds," which focuses on mental illnesses in adolescents.
