NAMI Texas is offering a Teacher Training for our families and caregivers c=
urriculum, Visions for Tomorrow.
The class will be held in Austin, Texas on July 29, 30 and 31st. It is an e=
ducational program for the parents and caregivers of children, under the ag=
e of 22, diagnosed with a mental illness. Teachers are required to work in =
teams of two.=20
NAMI Texas has a grant to cover the expenses of 12 participants, or 6 teams=
, including stipends for travel and lodging.=20
If you are interested in attending this training, please complete the attac=
hed teacher application. Your applications will be reviewed and you will be=
asked to complete a telephone interview as a part of your application proc=
ess. If your application is accepted, you will be asked to make a commitmen=
t to teach this class twice a year over the following year.=20
Please submit your application no later than July 8, 2009. We will make fin=
al decisions by July 15, 2009.
