We have about 100 beds. We have no Nursing Supervisors on off shifts and
weekends. We put those positions into direct patient care about 12 years ago.
During administrative hours The Nurse Manager is here, and there is a Bed
Coordinator (also only during administrative hours)-- we get many of our
admissions as transfers from outside faciltities and much of his job is managing
that.
Charge Nurses manage patient placement and problems that come up.ED Nurses
manage transfers from othjer facitilities. There is a Nurse Manager who carries
a phone (we do this a week at a time) who is available if there is some
unsolvable problem. That phone rarely gets called.
