New Castle County Special Operations is a group of five technical rescue and hazardous materials teams providing service for the residents of New Castle County, Delaware & surrounding areas.

Our teams have extended rescue capabilities for technical rescue including structural collapse, trench, high-angle, confined space, hazardous materials, diving, swift water, flooding & ice rescue incidents.

We operate a tiered response system and we are activated through our local county communications center. Our team members are made up from volunteer, career and industrial firefighters. Each team member is sponsored by their local fire department to participate with the Special Operations Team.
