This is for people who have given birth or are known to have the genetic condition that causes thrombocytopenia in their fetus during pregnancy. This is a support group and a place to share information about current treatment options.

I am PLA-1 or HLA-1A and was diagnosed with the birth of my son. He did have a severe hemmorage in his brain but is a walking miracle. He is currently 10 years old and the joy of our lives. :)

Because of this group and the courageousness of all the other parents and their support we had Jason in May 2008 who is currently 2 1/2 and healthy :) I had treatemnt fron 11 weeks and IVIG 2 times a week with prednisone. Jason was born premature at 32wks 5 days.
