I am hoping we can get this group growing. Please invite those you
know who are in EMS or Search & Rescue and have horses, mules,
zorses, etc. We don't discriminate against any equine..lol..

I am going to try and get my husband to schedule a class in 2007 or
2008 for a Medical First Responder class. We will also provide
wilderness training as well with the course.

My husband is a licensed Tactical Paramedic as well as Critical Care
trained, and a Licensed IC (EMS instructor). In order to do be an
EMS equestrian you should be a medical first responder. There are
classes in almost every state for this. If you can't get the MFR
class, we at least want you to be trained in CPR by the American
Heart Association, as well as take a basic first aid class.

We are hoping to form the National Association of EMS equestrians
and make it a recognized association. We are small yet, and word is
just now getting out.

I think it is important we organize and we can provide an important
service in search & rescue.

Please pass the word on!

Ps also, we will be working on a NAEMS Equestrians Tshirt and Ball
caps, and mugs. Still working on the Logo, trying to get it just
right. These items will be for sale at a reduced rate to our yahoo
group members.
