I am a mum to a 4 year old boy, who was diagnosed with autism at
2.7yrs. He developed normal and a week before his MMR had his 1yr
check which was recorded as healthy, developing, meeting milestones
etc. He said 15-20 words
including 'mum', 'dad', 'nan', 'baba' 'one', 'two' 'again' and some
two word 'all gone', 'bock, bock' (bottle), 'num num (dummy) 'woof
woof'.

He would role a ball to me and I would role it to him! He had great
eye contact and responded to everything; adults, children, babies,
dogs, music, TV etc....

I filmed him on his 1st birthday talking, enjoying his family
singing 'happy birthday and loving the attention...even attempting to
climb the slide (even though he wasn't walking on own yet). He also
fed himself soft foods with a spoon and would eat cooked dinners,
potatoe and beans etc for dinner.

for 6 weeks before his birthday he had bad loose runny faeces. I was
told it was because I changed him over to cows milk and to water it
down...his stomach cleared up a day before his birthday.

Six days after his 1st birthday he had MMR. i asked 'should he be
having it because of my severe egg allergy?' and should he be having
MMR after six weeks of diarrhoea? I was told he would be fine and for
the egg allergy to sit in the waiting room to see if he has reaction
for up to 45mins after MMR.

That was the last day he spoke to me until he was 3 years old...two
years later....after hundreds of hours of intense behavioural
therapy! He lost skills, stopped eating, developed high pitch screams
and would stim with everything esp opening and shutting doors,
buttons and stopped looking at me within days and became deeper and
deeper into his 'own' little world!

I knew that MMR was the only trigger....so I recently started tests 6
months ago with his DAN Dr. A NeuroImmuniology Autism A Panel was
completed that confirmed that my boy had raised MBP, Casein, NF, and
Measles antibodies in his result. The DAN said he had a neurological
profile very similar to MS and that eventually when supplements given
are working LDN will start to help repair/or stop further damage to
MBP etc.

I have also found out today he has high citric cycle and pyruvate
levels. His amino acids really poor?

Is this a common story you hear with autism? So if autoimmunie, does
this meen the mmr triggered the anto-bodies or would have he
developed it anyway?

What can be done to repair the MBP and Neuro fillaments (sp)?

I have lots of questions and I am aware not many people here...but
help needed as new to the news of autoimmunue! and not knowing what
to do fast to help whislt brain still youngish!
