The Southern California Nordic Ski Patrol is a volunteer organization working in partnership with the United States Forest Service providing a winter ski safety service, including emergency first aid and search & rescue.



ARE YOU AN INTERMEDIATE OR ADVANCED SKIER? WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN NEW OUTDOOR SKILLS? DO YOU ENJOY HELPING PEOPLE? BECOME A FOREST SERVICE VOLUNTEER!

The National Ski Patrol is now recruiting nordic skiers to help patrol Mount Pinos, Angeles Crest, and Big Pine back country ski areas in Southern California on weekends and holidays during the ski season.

The Southern California Nordic Ski Patrol offers training in:

* Professional Rescuer CPR
* Winter Survival Skills
* Search and Rescue
* Improved Skiing Techniques
* Avalanche Safety
* Ski Mountaineering
* Fine Dining
