Karen:
I'm glad his fever is down but I pray that the bacterial infection does NOT get worse. I agree it can be lonely and boring up in the hospital. You can do only so much watching tv and reading. You should have a pedometer to see how many steps you do walking up and down the halls.
thank youall for the prayers. He still won't wake up and he has some sort of bacterial infection. They don't want to pull the breathing tube yet because not sure if he can protect his own airway. He is breathing on his own though but has cpap support. His fever is down but his blood pressure keeps dropping.
All I can say is Coffee, Coffee and more Coffee today. I am about to start to go out and make friends with other families I am lonely with out my sweet boy talking to me. That and no cell phone use in the PICU is driving me crazy. If I could at least text in there I would be great.
Well off to ander the halls for a few and stretch my legs and get more coffee.

Hi all just asking fo rprayers for a quick recovery. Justin is in the PICU at Children's in seattle. They are planning to extubate him today but we are not sure what is the cause of al his issues right now. He has lactic acidosis right now and his liver counts were up even more from previously this week. He has been really lethargic for a week and now has a fever of 103. I am worried about him.
