I was asked to do the paperwork to disolve the foundation in the eyes of the State and Feds.  Not all of which is completed yet.

Faithful Supporters of MCAF,

It's with great pleasure on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Miss Camp American Foundation that I announce our first beneficiary disbursement for the 2005 Miss Camp America Pageant "FEMME FATALE".

                The Assistance Fund                            $5000.00

                The Montrose Clinic                              $1700.00

                Bering Omega Community Services       $1650.00

                Montrose Counseling Center                 $1650.00

                    GRAND TOTAL                            $10,000.00

Now once we finish up the close out of our accounts & the organization we will distribute all that is left.  As we said at the pageant, MCAF is not dead, just making a major change.   Please stay on the look out for some great announcements and our next pageant hopefully coming to a theater near you.

If you have any question regarding this distribution please feel free to contact me directly at dquijano@... or (713) 409-1584.

Thanks again for all your support!

response from Moderator -

Rick,

The Miss Camp America Foundation is closing it's doors,
so we will no longer be selecting charities from the community.
Instead, the Miss Camp America Pageant will become a fundraiser
for Legacy Community Health Services, which is a 501 c(3)organization.

It's a beautiful picture of Johnnie (Marilyn), Billy (Cinnamon), and

Dear friends and supporters of Miss Camp America,

With our transition from one 501-c(3) organization to another, we've
decided to change the policy for this group (mainly, to cut down on
the work that I do....)

From now on (until we change the policy again at some point in the
future), only messages and calendar events that pertain directly to
the Miss Camp America pageant will be approved.

If you're interested in other community events, I'd recommend joing

Y'all did a great show!  Very high energy and fun to watch from the audience (it had been 14 years since I watched from the audience).  Music was excellent, costumes great!  Selena and top 6 all did marvelous talent numbers.  Stephanie you out did yourself again!   Congrats to Princess Paza, Aggie Moorehead!  FUN FUN FUN FUN Have to admit being a little teary eyed at the end.  The best to each and everyone!

I'd like to thank everyone in the cast and crew for the hard work and exceptionally fun performance of last night. You should all be proud of the show.

Thanks to Stephanie - because she whipped us all into shape so that we could look as good as we did on stage.

I had a great time and look forward to the next show - wherever and whenever that may be.

This is my first experience with Miss Camp.  You guys are so professional (and a lot of fun to work with)  I wish I had joined MCAF years ago.

Stephanie is one of the nicest and thorough choreographers and directors I've met.  Your enthusiasm and talent were so evident last night.  I know you couldn't tell much about the technical aspects but trust me, the staff at Rich's is very talented and you all will look incredible.

I am honored to be part of this final show and having the opportunity to work with all of you.

Thanks to all the members of the Miss Camp America Foundation and all of our other performers and crew for the hard work last night for our first day in the "theater". A great big thanks to the Rich's staff for their extremely hard work with the lighting and sound.

Thanks to Stephanie for getting us all in place, and thanks to Dale for managing the technical aspects.

We're waiting for the official Wednesday 5 PM weather forecast from the National Weather Service to decide about whether Rita is going to affect us. (This morning's forecast doesn't look to good - Corpus/Freeport/Galveston has 43% chance of being the landfall site.)

Keep an eye on Hurricane Rita - it's currently
forecast to hit Houston on Saturday as a Category 3
