Sad news!

Scot Pott IMed me tonight to let me know that Pete Martinez had
passed away on Sunday. Many of you probably know Pete from the Names
Project Quilt as he was very involved with anything concerning the
Quilt as well as bringing the display to the George R. Brown several
years ago.

Scot told me that there is to be a memorial service on March 31, but
I have no details at this time. Scot's partner, John Janco, served
on the Names Project Board with Pete for several years. He will
share information regarding the service as soon as it is available,
i.e., time, place, etc.

I personally worked with Pete during the last few years on many
functions involving the Quilt and the Tree of Remembrance. He will
be missed.
