Daer Friends,

There are times in life when you are suddenly confronted with just how much goodness there is in our own little section of the world.  The success of the Houston Area Bears fund raiser this afternoon for PWA Holiday Charities, coupled with all of the support, effort, and dedication displayed by our collective community reminds of that enduring goodness.

A very special thanks to Crystal, Rosy, Eartha, Ranger and James Blaylock. for their willing participation in the "Splat a drag queen with a pie" event.  Your kind hearts and good spirits ensured a success and good time by all.

To all of those who donated baskets for auction, the member of the Misfits, HAB Grizzlies Softball team, Brotherhood of Pain, and all of the business and individuals, thank you many times over.  To Eva and Elizabeth from the WIPS for your kindness in allowing us to utilize the shelter for the event!  And to those of you who bid on the items, bless you!

A special word of thanks to Eric for donating his DJ services and time and travel for the event, you helped assure a great time was had by all.  And to Scott Kenyon for assistance with the sound equipment.  Additionally to Steve Stepanski for all of his time, efforts and dedication to this project, it could not have happened with out him.

There are too many of you whose participation and efforts made this event a success to thank personally, but I know who you all are in my heart and you have my deepest and most sincere thanks.

The accounting isn't finished yet, but it appears as if we brought in right about $1000.  You all have my respect for coming together to assure this success.  And after all is said and done, I hope everyone enjoyed themself!
