The Michigan Community Service Commission is seeking four AmeriCorps*VISTA members to serve at the MCSC in Lansing.  Members will begin their service in July and August 2009. 

 

National Service Inclusion AmeriCorps*VISTA Member

The Inclusion AmeriCorps*VISTA position will enhance the ability of the Michigan Community Service Commission to engage and support individuals with disabilities in national service. The VISTA will also support the MCSC's commitment to inclusion by helping equip and empower national service programs to make service a part of the lives of individuals with disabilities. 

Application Deadline:  May 11, 2009

Service Begins: July 14, 2009

 

National Service Cross-stream AmeriCorps*VISTA Member

The Cross-stream AmeriCorps*VISTA position will enhance the ability of the Michigan Community Service Commission to serve national service programs throughout the state.  The cross-stream VISTA will focus on improving the communication, collaboration, and sustainability of national service programs in Michigan through the creation of a regional and statewide network. With more than 125 national service projects engaging 56,000 people of all ages and backgrounds, it is essential to build infrastructure and capacity to sustain and grow these efforts.

Learn and Serve - Michigan AmeriCorps*VISTA Member

The Learn and Serve - Michigan AmeriCorps*VISTA position will enhance the ability of Learn and Serve - Michigan to expand the reach of service-learning in areas across the state with high levels of poverty, particularly the Detroit metropolitan area.

Application Deadline:  May 11, 2009

Service Begins: July 14, 2009

 

Mentor Michigan AmeriCorps*VISTA Outreach Member

The Mentor Michigan AmeriCorps*VISTA, Outreach position will enhance the ability of Mentor Michigan to serve mentoring programs throughout the state.  This member will focus on expanding the network of mentoring programs and promote the Quality Program Standards for Youth Mentoring. 

Application Deadline:  June 1, 2009
