Subject: Next Meeting Dates and Minutes--Next Meeting is Mon.10/24/2005

Dear MDCWI Members,

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 24, 2005, from 1:00 p.m.
to 3:30 p.m. at the Health Care Association of Michigan, 7413 Westshire
Drive, Lansing--517-627-1561. Attached, are the minutes, and the action
steps that are being worked on this week. The purspose of the meeting will
be to give an update about the RSA grant that the MDCWI and South Central
Michigan Works! received, to discuss CNA best practices curriculum with
Bureau of Health Professions staff, and to have a presentation by Elizabeth
Janks, DDI/WSU about supervisor/manager training.

Action Items:

The apprenticeship conference information was sent in a separate e-mail, and
attached to this e-mail is a notice for the Michigan Department of Community
Health, State Planning Project for the Uninsured Town Hall Meetings being
held throughout the state. Sharing your views on health care insurance for
Michigan's uninsured is very important. We hope you will be able to attend
one of the town hall meetings.
