Dear Olmstead Coalition Members:
I'm in the process of writing up meeting minutes from Monday's meeting but I wanted to get you the following information ASAP.
Urgent: We must get stories about the impact of the Home Help cuts on individuals ASAP. Please have consumers fill out the form on the copower web site
(http://www.copower.org/homehelp/index.php) or help them do so. You also can send stories to Mark at mcody@... or Ellen at hyman@.... We need to show the Department of Community Health that the cuts are putting individuals at risk of having to move to group homes or nursing homes. We need stories from individuals with a variety of disability characteristics who live in diverse geographic regions and have varying ages.
The next Olmstead Coalition Meeting will be Monday, April 5th at 2:30 p.m. at MACIL. Please let me know if you want teleconference by April 1.
