The Michigan Suicide Prevention Coalition is made up of public and private organizations and individuals who are involved with suicide prevention in the state. It includes community suicide prevention groups, government agencies, healthcare and mental healthcare professionals, first responders, crisis centers, family and friends of those who have died by suicide, educators and others with an interest in suicide prevention. The group's second goal is the implementation of the Michigan Suicide Prevention Plan. We are now in our third year and in the process of reporting on our successes, identifing gaps and making recommendations for the next two years.
