A subgroup of children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) present with a complex mixture of neuro-develomental and health issues. These children are often atypically autistic; they have significant GI, immune, endocrine or autonomic dysfunction. Many have experienced at least one significant regression. Parents who proactively seek better diagnosis and dx-directed treatment plans for these complex kids are welcome to join this list. We also invite any clinicians with experience in metabolic and/or mitochondrial diseases and willing to work with parents in understanding the biochemical basis of these ASD subsets.
