This is a forum primarily meant for authors, editors, editorial board members and peer reviewers of the Mens Sana Monographs [MSM] to discuss articles published there [http://www.msmonographs.org]. These articles are based on psychiatric/biomedical/psychological/philosophical consequences of social disorders/issues and current events based on evidence and research studies.
MSM is meant to provide a wide platform for serious discussion by psychiatrists, other medical scientists and clinicians, social scientists, philosophers, psychologists, sociologists, and other thinkers interested in exploring social issues with methodological rigour. It is mainly interested in discussing issues concerning Psychiatry, Philosophy, Medicine, Mental Health, Science, Religion, Man and Society. Enquiry into mind, brain and consciousness and their interrelation is of abiding concern. Freedom of thought and expression with social commitment and openness to discuss a wide array of subjects that concern man and society today regardless of ideological/institutional/political/civilizational affiliations is its motive.
Membership is moderated and at present restricted to Authors who have published in the Mens Sana Monographs, its Editorial Board Members, Peer Reviewers, and Life Subscribers. Others who have published in peer reviewed Journals, Editors and Editorial Board Members of Peer Reviewed Journals, as also some select researchers/thinkers who have made substantial contributions to the field may also be invited to join.
We do not think it is necessary for us to agree on everything.
Or on anything, for that matter.
The only condition is to keep the language civil, the discussion evidence based, the effort to appreciate the others' point of view honest, the give and take of ideas healthy, and an openness to modify/change even one's most fondly held opinions.
The messages are not so many as to be overwhelming.
