Tim Philp's Brantford Freenet goes bust!
JCT: Har har har har. Tim Philp started the Brantford Freenet way
back
when and announced just last week that they were shutting down
because
they can't compete. They only charged $5 a month, far cheaper than
anyone else.
You'll remember that when James Taris, the world-wide
traveling LETSaholic, was visiting me in Brantford, he accompanied me
when I went down to the Brantford Freenet to explain to Philp how
installing the LETS time-based currency software on Brantford LETS to
give his users an interest-free time-bank account would entice
everyone else in Brantford to join.
Well, even though Philp boasted how easy it would have been to do, he
didn't because he doesn't like my face.
So now his Freenet has gone bust and though he laughed at me in
public
for living in a slum (where else would the King of the Paupers
live?),
maybe it's his turn to join the ranks of the paupers and find himself
an affordable slum to live in.
Har har har har. He admitted he could have set up a LETS which would
have saved his network but didn't. Har har har har.
