TURMEL: CRTC Complaint about CPAC-Rogers Guelph exclusion   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #2384 of 2514 |

JCT: To start a court action, you need a decision they made
a mistake you want to challenge. I just sent this off to the
CRTC complaints department:

Reference Number 409968

On May 12 1997, CPAC recorded a free-time political
broadcast, not a debate because direct exchanges between
candidates were not allowed, for national airing to which
only four candidates in Ottawa West-Nepean federal general
election had been invited to participate.

I, an independent, nevertheless attended protesting not
being treated fairly. CPAC relented.

I did receive an equitable share of the national broadcast.

On Aug 25 2008, CPAC and Rogers and the Guelph Chamber of
Commerce recorded a free-time political broadcast, not a
debate, for national and local airing to which only four
candidates in the Guelph federal byelection had been invited
to participate.

I, an independent, nevertheless attended protesting not
being given the fair chance to offer my alternatives to the
problems.

CPAC-Rogers-Guelph Chamber of Commerce did not relent and
had me taken into custody and removed by the police.

This is a complaint that I, an independent candidate in the
federal byelection in Guelph did not receive an equitable
share of the 2008 free-time partisan political broadcast
(not debate) in Guelph as I had received of the 1997
broadcast (not debate) in Ottawa due to a conspiracy between
CPAC, Rogers and the Guelph Chamber of Commerce to deny any
but the Favored Four parties access to the partisan free-
time political broadcast that all should have shared.

JCT: Now we'll get a copy of the tape and Guelph voters will
get to hear the abysmal things that Karen Levenson was
agreeing with. Does anyone in Guelph have a copy of the
broadcast?
