My name is Tessa. I started the fast this last Saturday and I love
it! This is coming from someone who loves to eat. I do miss the act
of eating, but hunger hasn't been much of a problem. Here is a link

This helped me a lot in sorting out all the info out there.
Basically, it is recommended to be on the fast for at least ten days
and up to 40 being recommended as safe. You can repeat this fast
safely three to four times a year.
Stanley Burroughs, the creator of this cleanse does not recommend the
use of supplements (see article in link) so the grade B maple syrup
should be used; he also says that blackstrap molasses can be used in
some cases.
You should use a laxative tea each evening and morning, but you can
substitute the salt wash in the morning if you like. I personally,
really like the salt wash and have no problems drinking it down. I
use celtic sea salt which can be purchased in bulk at health food
stores or online.
