I have been reading a really neat page. Unfortunately I cannot vouch completely
for its accuracy but it does seem vaguely plausible. In essence, I believe it is
probably correct but do not want to take the time to go back to sources and
besides i do not read French which is what the originals are in.
A lot of skeptics had a rousing good time when physicist Alan Sokal wrote
Transgressing the boundaries: towards a transformative hermeneutics of quantum
gravity, which got published by the journal, Social Text.
But it seems, and sorry if I have missed prior discussions of this since most of
it seems to have played out during my dissertation era. But supposedly two
brothers received PhDs - one in math and one in physics and published their work
in physics journals that may make alan sokal's jab at post-modernism seem like
child's play - which come to think of it, it was... So apparently there is a lot
of discomfort in physics with the soundness and critique of paper submissions
