Dear Dorothy-
It has been ages since we've talked. Thank you so very much for your message
to the listserv. The book came out several weeks ago. It is really an
explication of my healthiness theory which is the foundation for the book.
Strengths are rarely discussed in nursing (other than by Rogerians), so I hope
nurses will read the book and incorporate its message in their practice. We'll
see.
I retired from teaching 1+ years ago, and now am writing (I am trying to get
a contract for a book on Unitary Theory, Research and Practice, and I am working
on a manuscript for a Nursing Knowledge Development book with Jacqui Fawcett)
and extending my theoretical work from home. I also travel, do craft work, and
am busy sprucing up my garden/landscape. I am busy, but so far, it has been much
less stressful than the University setting. I do miss the teaching and students,
but enjoy the freedom.
I hope all is well with you. What are you doing? Do stay in touch. Sue
