Hmmm,
Perhaps we could use this as an opportunity to encourage the members,
board, editors to make a change in policy that would formalize the
rights of authors to maintain and distribute their work in this way.
I absolutely agree that the important issue is dissemination - not
isolation.
As I think i have mentioned in the past i developed a web site for Dr.
Milton Diamond at University of Hawaii many years ago - in my pre-nurse
days. Mickey, an internationally reknown Human Sexuality researcher and
educator, adopted the policy of hosting his own articles on that site
many years ago because he recognized the importance of the web as a
vehicle for academic and scientific communication.
