I just wanted to let all of you know that I am doing very, very well
with exception of some ongoing neck and shoulder pain that is normal
part of the intervention according to the NPs. I am using only Tylenol
now when I need something for pain. I am also having trouble sleeping
(never was sound sleeper) but is hard to get comfortable with neck and
shoulders. I've tried Ristoril and Ambien but really not useful. I
will be on Coumadin for about another 8 weeks, but really only have to
do pro-time about every 3 weeks. My BP is down with medication.
All-in-all things are really great with my health.
I continue to be amazed...and extremely grateful...for all the love,
support, and healing that I feel comes to me from so many different
sources. I feel comforted by this and a great feeling of the Power that
is beyond me and yet in me and surrounds me. The peace I felt prior to
the surgery, the way the intervention went in surgery, and the feelings
of being wrapped in love and warmth immediately following surgery were
all parts of the blessings I felt in this regard. I also experienced
the sacred, healing work of the nurses, often cloaked in physical care
(consistent with what Fran Biley has been trying to raise in our
discussion - this is an entirely unitary experience for me.)
Tomorrow, the university is converting me to Lotus Notes. My e-mail
address will not change, but I will be adjusting to using it...so I
wanted you to know if I don't respond to something that is probably what
is up. Also, if you want to avoid getting my automatic leave reply from
my university account, please feel free to e-mail me at my home account
