Just wanted to let all of you know that I am doing fine in my recovery
at home. I am now on one antibiotic IV instead of two and am enjoying
this freedom as it creates greater mobility for me. I have learned a
great deal about physiology and technical care in this process...as well

as about love and listening to one's heart...it is the great challenge
of nursing...and unitary nursing in particular...to place all these is a

larger context of pattern. My own experience has been highlighted by
enduring faith in the greater pattern and wholeness of life and a deep
sense of care that was pervasive throughout and continues in relation to

this experience. I believe that there are many forces that operate to
support my healing...and I count my connections with all of you as one
of those powerful forces. There is more ahead on my journey and I am
blessed by everyone's love and presence and intentions...and I feel
gratitude for all of this. One of my greatest desires in relation to my

healing is that all those around me connect with the wholeness and power

that is my unitary being. I am reminded of Margaret Newman's call to
all of us to see disease as an aspect of our wholeness. I am learning
much which I plan to share more deeply in the future. For now, I am
experiencing a new sense of healing that grows with each day. Although
I am physically tired at times during the day, I feel a great sense of
peace and power.

Again, thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, intentions, and actions in

my behalf...including your very kind and loving words. I appreciate
Bear taking on the responsibility of being an intermediary for me...I am

not sure I can be systematic with e-mail responses until I feel
better....so this is a great help.

To all of you...whatever you believe...and whatever your cultural
practices....I wish each of you a joyous, peaceful, and powerful time
now and in the new year filled with love and compassion.....Richard
