It is with great sadness that I have to inform this group that Joanne Griffin
died yesterday. I understand that she was peaceful in the last few days.

As you will be aware, Joanne was a very significant figure in Rogerian science
and at NYU, she will be very sadly missed.

I am sorry to have to bring you this sad news.
