You know, the BBC is usually pretty good at world news, and we get to hear about
most (bigger/more significant) things I guess; but not heard one thing about
this at all...didnt even know it was happening until it was mentioned in this
forum.
Not disaster fatigue I hope?

Finally heard from Howard again this morning.
Their house is ok and they are back in it. Fortunately their house is
on a hill. the houses lower down were pretty much destroyed and most
were not covered by flood insurance.
Will be a while before life in iowa city returns to anything like
normalcy but at least they are safe and sound and able to start their
return to usual life in their own beds.
