Marcia, Great! I sent the citations to Violet yesterday. Please contact her
directly about doing the review and getting the citations
(vmalinsk@...). Best regards, Jacqui

Subject: [Martha_E_Rogers] The life of the listserv and the SUHB

Hi all,

I wrote what I thought was a fairly eloquent response to the recent
posts but it got lost.

I'd LOVE to volunteer to take on the articles suggested by Violet with
the input of Jacqui. I would be deeply honored actually.

Perhaps we can reframe our current situation as a chapter ending and a
new one beginning. We might not be able to articulate what that new
chapter looks like, so are left with the sadness of the old one
ending. This applies to list servs and the idea of theories dying. I
don't actually believe theories die....rather folks stop finding them
useful. For a language to be considered living, its usage changes over
time with new words forming, etc. I suspect it's the same with
theories. There is no such thing as homeostasis after all.

Marcia
