The Most Powerful Law In The Universe by Jerry and Esther Hicks
Every thought vibrates, every thought radiates a signal and every thought attracts a matching signal back. We call that process the Law of Attraction.
The Law of Attraction says: That which is like unto itself is drawn. And so, you might see the powerful Law of Attraction as a sort of Universal Manager that sees to it that all thoughts that match one another line up.
You understand this principle when you turn on your radio and deliberately tune your receiver to match a signal from a broadcasting tower. You do not expect to hear music that is being broadcast on the radio frequency of 101FM to be received on your tuner when it is set at 98.6FM. You understand that radio vibrational frequencies must match and the Law of Attraction agrees with you.
So, as your experience causes you to launch vibrational rockets of desires, you must then find ways of holding yourself consistently in vibrational harmony with those desires in order to receive their manifestation.
Whatever you are giving your attention to causes you to emit a vibration and the vibrations that you offer equal your asking, which equals your point of attraction.
If there is something you desire that you currently do not have, you need only put your attention upon it and, by the Law of Attraction, it will come to you, for as you think about this thing or experience that you desire, you offer a vibration and then, by Law, that very thing or experience must come to you.
However, if there is something that you desire that you currently do not have and you put your attention upon your current state of not having it, then Law of Attraction will continue to match that not having it vibration, so you will continue to not have that which you desire. It is Law.
The key to bringing something into your experience that you desire is to achieve vibrational harmony with what you desire. And the easiest way for you to achieve vibrational harmony with it is to imagine having it, pretend that it is already in your experience, flow your thoughts toward the enjoyment of the experience and as you practice those thoughts and begin to consistently offer that vibration, you will then be in the place of allowing that into your experience.
Now, by paying attention to the way you feel, you can easily know if you are giving your attention to your desire or if you are giving it to the absence of your desire. When your thoughts are a vibrational match to your desire, you feel good – your emotional range would be from contentment to expectation to eagerness to joy. But if you are giving your attention to the lack or absence, of your desire – your emotions would range from feelings of pessimism to worry to discouragement to anger to insecurity to depression.
And so, as you become consciously aware of your emotions, you will always know how you are doing with the allowing part of your Creative Process and you will never again misunderstand why things are turning out the way they are. Your emotions provide a wonderful guidance system for you and if you will pay attention to them, you will be able to guide yourself to anything that you desire.
By the powerful Universal Law of Attraction, you draw to you the essence of whatever you are predominantly thinking about. So if you are predominantly thinking about the things that you desire, your life experience reflects those things. And, in the same way, if you are predominantly thinking about what you do not want, your life experience reflects those things.
Whatever you are thinking about is like planning a future event. When you are appreciating, you are planning. When you are worrying, you are planning. (Worrying is using your imagination to create something you do not want.)
Every thought, every idea, every Being every thing, is vibrational, so when you focus your attention on something, even for a short period of time, the vibration of your Being begins to reflect the vibration of that which you are giving your attention to. The more you think about it, the more you vibrate like it; the more you vibrate like it, the more of that which is like it is attracted to you. That trend in attraction will continue to increase until a different vibration is offered by you. And when a different vibration is offered, things that match that vibration are then drawn to you, by you.
When you understand the Law of Attraction, you are never surprised by what occurs in your experience; you understand that you have invited every bit of it in through your own thought process. Nothing can occur in your life experience without your invitation of it through your thought.
Because there are no exceptions to the powerful Law of Attraction, a thorough understanding of it is easy to achieve. And once you understand that you get what you think about and, equally important, when you are aware of what you are thinking, then you are in the position to exercise absolute control of your own experience.

Dear Mailing List Recipients:
I'm very happy to be announcing to you the release of my new book, Bodymind Healing Psychotherapy: Ancient Pathways to Modern Health. This is the second volume of The Tao of Bodymind Healing Series...the first volume is Secrets to Living Younger Longer: The Self Healing Path of Qigong, Standing Meditation and Tai Chi. These two volumes are the culmination of 30 years of my research and practice integrating ancient sacred wisdom traditions with modern bodymind healing methods. I hope that the healing methods in these books will add to your Self-healing path as they have for me and others.
Bodymind Healing Psychotherapy: Ancient Pathways to Modern Health
Drawing from 30 years of training in Tai Chi and Qigong with some of the most respected masters of these traditions, Dr. Mayer shows how to integrate the essence of these practices into psychotherapy and into our healthcare without ever doing a Tai Chi/Qigong movement, and without mentioning a word about Qigong. From this co-founder of an integrated medical clinic and award-winning author in the field of mind-body healthcare, you’ll see how this integrative approach contributes to alleviate the current healthcare crisis. Ancient and modern, East and West, psychotherapy and mind-body medicine are amalgamated to make a stronger integrative medicine. Theory, research, and case illustrations are blended as you learn bodymind healing methods for anxiety, chronic pain, hypertension, insomnia, trauma, and other common issues plaguing the modern world.
You’ll learn how to use a variety of ancient pathways to help heal the mind and body such as: • Chinese medicine approaches including Qigong and acupressure self-touch • Innovative symbolic process methods stemming from age-old mythic storytelling, guided imagery, and breathing techniques • Methods drawn from ancient traditions of meditation and postural initiation
This book is oriented to mental health workers, health professionals, and members of the lay public who are interested in self-healing methods for physical and mental health.
What others are saying about Bodymind Healing Psychotherapy:

The first session. I empty my pockets of change and remove my watch. Dr. Chow has explained that during chi kung practice any metal on your person can take on an electric charge, absorbing energy that would otherwise move through your body. I climb onto the examining table, stretch out my limbs, and wait.
Dr. Chow whirls inside the room, takes my arms, which are folded across my chest, and gently places them by my side. Stepping back, he moves his eyes along the surface of my body as if tracing invisible lines of energy.
“One thing,” he says in a deep baritone. “No misuse my chi.”
“Misuse your chi?”
“Once have student misuse my chi, so take chi back. So give you this warning.”
I ask myself how someone could misuse the doctor’s chi. At this stage I can barely fathom how a person could use the doctor’s chi, but Dr. Chow’s prudential concern about his chi impresses me. He tells me to shut my eyes, and I do, thereby dashing any hopes of seeing him in action.
“How should I breathe?”
“Like bird fly and fish swim.”
“And while I’m flying like a bird and swimming like a fish, what am I supposed to be doing?”
“Pay attention, and no fall asleep,” he says.
“Pay attention to what?”
“To your body,” he says. “And no talk anymore.”
A few seconds pass, and then I hear the rustle of his sleeves. Is he moving his arms in the same corkscrew motion I saw on television? I keep my eyes shut, and when I open them, he has gone, and the room is in darkness. My attention shifts to my body where a tightness in my chest is causing me discomfort. Have I pulled a muscle? A sensation of heat begins in my sternum, and now a faint beating begins as if someone were tapping a finger in the small declivity. No, not a finger—a fingernail. The beating intensifies, taking on a sharp edge. It would be impossible to fall asleep with this sharp rhythmic beating. What am I to make of all this? Is this sensation the result of the doctor’s chi? Or am I just imagining it? I do not think this is my imagination, but how would I know for sure?
Half an hour later there is a light knock on the door—the first of the thirty-six sessions is over. In the waiting room the doctor hands me a sheet of paper with a line of Chinese scrawled across the top. Underneath the scrawl I am obliged to record my impressions, a ritual I must complete after each session. As I begin writing, a sudden surge of energy moves across my breastbone, and I include this in my notes.
The second session. Dr. Chow performs his unseen gestures, leaves the examining room, and the sharp beating in my sternum resumes. This is not my imagination. This is real. Within ten minutes the sensation has grown stronger. I can endure it, but it is not altogether pleasant. Chi kung better than sex? You would have to be a masochist. My mind begins to wander, but the rhythmic beating—now a stabbing—recalls me to my body.
The stabbing chi leaves my sternum abruptly and draws a line to my abdomen, lodging about an inch and a half below my navel. There it remains for about a minute, before traveling back to my sternum. Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. This I have not expected; this I have not visualized; this I have not desired. And yet the sensation is as real and palpable as if a sewing machine were deep-stitching a line up and down my stomach.
In his office Dr. Chow explains that the sternum acupoint I have discovered is the heart point, also known as the shan chung or the middle dan tian. The abdomen acupoint below my navel, he says, is known as the lower dan tian, or simply, the dan tian.
I am glad he did not tell me any of this earlier. Ignorant of the ways of chi kung, I am bypassing the filter of my mind and acquiring knowledge directly through my senses. I ask Dr. Chow about the function of the dan tian. The dan tian, Dr. Chow says, is the furnace of chi and one of its main storehouses.
As he speaks I glance at his folded hands, which, in repose, are undistinguished, the youthful skin stretched across ropes of tendons. The square fingers are of medium length; the spatulate nails pared down and etched with thin white lines. Who would ever suspect these ordinary fingers could wield such prodigious energy?
A CALL FOR THE GREAT HEALING Healers world wide are being called into action for Universal Synchronization June 21st - August 12th from the Star Elders and the Invisible Councils of Light through Aluna Joy Yaxk'in
“As we step through this door, may we walk upon the planet, among the rocks, the grasses, the oceans and the stars. Let us all welcome our creative spirit as the evolution of the universe. Take the new tools and the new vision, and open all doors as we pass this way.” ~ Wave Dasher.
Over eons of time, the Star Elders and others like the Star Walkers (also known as the Invisible Councils of Light), have mapped the cyclic patterns of the universe and our solar system. They have watched cycles shift and change course, and doors of time and space open and close. It has been their job to gently nudge the Earth into alignment so that the Earth and the rest of the solar system and universe could be synchronized. Once synchronized, there will be no limits to what we can create. No limits to how we can live. No limits to where we can go. The Star Elders are excited to say that this job is nearly complete. Now they need our help to finish the job.
They have watched humankind struggle to understand cosmic truths and natural laws on a planet that has been out of sync with a universal perspective. They know this has not been an easy job for us. They know we are a bit like the blind leading the blind. Because of this, they have also watched us, in the past, sadly misuse the energy that has moved the cycles away from universal synchronization. But a great awakening is happening in the consciousness of humankind. Not just a few can see the light of truth; now uncountable ones can feel the truth rising up in them like an ancient memory. It is an amazing time to be alive.
The Star Elders have waited patiently for a time when humanity living on Earth could rise above this zombie karma ridden state and evolve into living Masters and flawless creators (read “The Awakening of the Samurai Light Workers” at http://www.kachina.net/~alunajoy/2007june.html). That time is now! YOU are being invited to join together in a great cause to complete a great mission. You are ready . . . the Earth is waiting for you . . . it is time! Healers and grid workers world wide are being called into action by the Star Elders, The Star Walker Council and The Masters of Light. YOU are being called to assist in a great healing and realignment of the Earth’s grids. You are called to help heal old breaks between the dimensions caused by misuses of power.
You and I, no matter how small or insignificant we might see ourselves, are called to assist in the greatest healing and acceleration of human evolution ever experienced by a living being. We are being called to help those who may have misused their power in the past and those who have been hurt by this misuse of power.
"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God, I will do." ~ Edward Everett Hale
“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
It is now time for GREAT COMPASSION . . . and GREAT FORGIVENESS . . . offered in a space of NON-JUDGEMENT without ego and from the HEART. The wrongs created in the past were done by those doing the best they could in an environment that did not reveal truth adequately. We are being called into action and to put to use the LIGHT, POWER and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. It is time for us to come into fully realizing how magnificant we truly are.
"Our first line of defense against unhappiness is refusing to believe that we are the victims of the bad intentions of others. The formula is: Do not blame the trigger. The world is full of triggers; in fact, life is designed like that, so that we will truly practice. We can be grateful for all these triggers, as without them we might never recognize our own unfortunate reactions." ~ Ayya Khema in "Visible Here and Now"
“You who have the light, what are you doing with it?” ~ Paul Claudel
From June Solstice (June 21st) through the Perseid Meteor Shower (August 12th) is a rare window of opportunity to do this work. We have been to this place before and failed. This time we will not fail. The Star Elders say we are victorious, but it is not a time to sit back in the spiritual easy chair and wait for this glorious future to arrive. We must take action. Spirit helps those who help themselves! When two or more are gathered, I AM there! Humanity, the Earth and the universe must work together to bring about this great universal synchronization.
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1
Within this window is the exact frequency or echo of time in history where massive misuses of power took place. During these times, we lost the planet Maldek, which is now our asteroid belt. We can still see part of this planet every August with the Perseid Meteor Shower. We have witnessed the fall of Atlantis and have been dealing with its reproductions up to this time. More recently, we have deployed nuclear bombs. These nuclear bombs cracked and burned holes in and between dimensions leaving those parts of the Earth unprotected from lower frequencies and lower dimensional laws. Nuclear bombs also cracked souls of those who died in the blasts. All these events misused a type of technology that can and did cause great wounds. It also wounded uncountable others who survived these catastrophes causing current day paranoia and fear. But the only fear that is real now… is fear.
Time is cyclic in nature and because we are circumnavigating through a time where a miss-use of power took place . . . over and over again. It is time to break this cycle! Now we have the greatest opportunity to heal these past errors in present time. When we heal these past errors, we can end war and have peace on Earth. We can live in global harmony with all life and even experience universal unity. Our health will be restored. Abundance will not be an issue anymore. Ancient home sickness will vanish. Our dreams can be realized. Our suffering ends. We will never be lonely or feel lost again.
So the Star Elders encourage me to send you their message. Even though I can dream this new world in my mind, I also feel how imposable it seems in this moment to actually obtain this Heaven on Earth. I know this is what we all dream of . . . . So what if we decide to join together in the four corners of the world and give it all we got? What if? But worst yet, what if we don’t? I know that if we don’t reach for the stars, we can’t complain about our current world. So REACH! It is time right now . . . TODAY! Gather together. Call out to the healers, the grid workers, and the energy workers, and SEE the planet WHOLE - HEALED - ABUNDANT – HARMONIOUS and FULLY CONSCIOUSNESS. Do your work in all TIME, SPACE and DIMENSION, in the PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE and in all the BODIES, MINDS and SPIRITS of all living things! Use your Heart, and do what you are called to do. It is our LOVE of the emerging future that is our power. Use this power, and it can only get stronger everyday. Nothing can hold back this light.
“Nothing is more powerful than an individual acting out of his conscience, thus helping to bring the collective consciousness to life.” ~ Norman Cousins
So here is a list of what the Star Elders say needs to be done before the 2008 shift. We only have a few months, from June 21st through August 12th, to make this happen the easiest way. We will be working WITH an open doorway in a cycle of time that echoes back to the exact places that need to be healed.
Healing Atlantis would include . . . ** Ask for universal justice, forgiveness and spiritual healings of the ones who misused the power and caused the collapse of Atlantis. This will insure that this type of catastrophe will never happen again. And this is already so! ** See HEALED all who died at the hands of those who misused power in Atlantis, so as to help facilitate healing of the souls that were cracked at this time. This will help all those how seem unable to heal, those who have been diagnosed clinically insane or have other mental illnesses, or those that act out unimaginable and unexplainable violence. ** See HEALED all those who have deep emotional trauma from surviving the fall of Atlantis. This will help with paranoia and catastrophobia at this time; thus helping them to be at peace and free them to help with this healing. ** See HEALED the energy to the grids and wounds and cracks between dimensions caused by the misuse of power that caused the fall of Atlantis. The two biggest cracks are in the Middle East and the oceans around Egypt, Greece, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon and Iraq . . . and the Bermuda Triangle and Yucatan. These dimensional cracks are much like cracked souls. These areas are unprotected from negative underworlds and lesser evolved dimensions, thus causing constant war and/or strange occurrences and phenomena in theses areas.
Healing the planet Maldek would include . . . ** Ask for universal justice, and spiritual healings of the ones who misused the power and caused the collapse of the planet Maldek. They are reincarnating in this dimension and are holding places of power once again. Many were part of the fall of Atlantis by acting out old patterns. It is time for them to be healed, forgiven and awakened. See it SO! ** See HEALED all who died at the hands of those who misused power in Maldek, so as to help facilitate healing of the souls that were cracked at this time. Again this will help all those who seem unable to heal, those who have been diagnosed clinically insane or have other mental illnesses, or those that act out unimaginable and unexplainable violence. ** See HEALED all those who have deep emotional trauma from surviving the fall of Maldek. This will help with survival paranoia and catastrophobia at this time; thus helping them to be at peace and free them to help with the healing.
"We have probed the Earth, excavated it, burned it, ripped things from it, buried things in it. ... That does not fit my definition of a good tenant. If we were here on a month-to-month basis, we would have been evicted long ago." ~ Rose Elizabeth Bird
Healing the soul our current age would include . . . ** Asking for universal justice, forgiveness and spiritual healings of the ones who deployed nuclear bombs. Also, send energy to any and all existing nuclear bombs and see them rendered useless. This will insure that this will never happen again. And this is already so! ** See HEALED all that died because of nuclear bomb blasts, to facilitate the healing of the wounded souls that were cracked at this time. This will help all those who seem unable to heal, those who are clinically insane or have other mental illnesses, and those that act out unimaginable and unexplainable violence. ** See HEALED all those who have deep emotional trauma from surviving the nuclear bomb blasts. This will help with paranoia and help empower them to rise above the victim and to be at peace and empower them to help with this healing. ** Send healing energy to the grids and wounds between dimensions caused by nuclear bomb blasts in and around the area of Japan and all nuclear bomb test sites. While we are at it . . . there is a smaller wound at Chernobyl in the Ukraine.

“Building a dream requires relationship with God…. In building a dream, we recognize that we don't have all the answers – but God does. And right where we are, God is. Knowing that intellectually is one thing; practicing being with God on all levels is another. Allow Spirit to guide you, and it will. If you think you alone can accomplish the dream, then your dream isn't big enough. How might you partner with God to build your dream?” ~ Mary Manin Morrissey
“There will come a day when you'll finally decide that you're ready to live up to your full potential. There will come a moment when you will no longer settle for less than you know you're capable of achieving. There will come a time when you'll no longer be satisfied with making excuses and rationalizations. There will come a time when your desire to move forward will outweigh your fear of the unknown. One day you'll realize that everything you do makes a difference, and you'll put that incredible power to valuable use. There is really no reason to put that golden day off any longer. There is every reason to go ahead and make it happen for you. You were born to do great things, to create much value, to make a real difference. The longing and frustration you feel is a constant reminder, so listen to what it has to say. Your life can be as full as you are ready to make it. Now is the day to make it great.” ~ Ralph Marston

Please, if you could deal in your article the relationship between tea and the assimilation of iron. Here in A., some doctors have told my daughter-in-law during a period of slight anemia, she ought not to take tea after meals. Two hours had to go by for the assimilation of iron before she could take any tea, scented, black or English.
All things are interrelated. Everything in the universe is part of a single whole. Everything is connected in some way to everything else. It is only possible to understand something if we understand how it is connected to everything else.
2. CHANGE.
Everything is in a state of constant change. One season falls upon the other. People are born, live, and die. All things change. There are two kinds of change. The coming together of things and the coming apart of things. Both kinds of change are necessary and are always connected to each other.
3. CHANGE OCCURS IN CYCLES OR PATTERNS.
They are not random or accidental. If we cannot see how a particular change is connected, it usually means that our standpoint is affecting our perception.
4. THE PHYSICAL WORLD IS REAL. THE SPIRITUAL WORLD IS REAL.
They are two aspects of one reality. There are separate laws which govern each. Breaking of a spiritual principle will affect the physical world and visa versa. A balanced life is one that honors both.
5. PEOPLE ARE PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL BEINGS.
6. PEOPLE CAN ACQUIRE NEW GIFTS, BUT THEY MUST STRUGGLE TO DO SO.
The process of developing new personal qualities may be called "true learning."
7. THERE ARE FOUR DIMENSIONS OF TRUE LEARNING.
A person learns in a whole and balanced manner when the mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional dimensions are involved in the process.
8. THE SPIRITUAL DIMENSION OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT HAS FOUR RELATED CAPACITIES:
* the capacity to have and to respond to dreams, visions, ideals, spiritual teachings, goals and theories. * the capacity to accept these as a reflection of our unknown or unrealized potential. * the capacity to express these using symbols in speech, art or mathematics. * the capacity to use this symbolic expression towards action directed at making the possible a reality.
9. PEOPLE MUST ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR OWN POTENTIAL.
10. A PERSON MUST DECIDE TO DEVELOP THEIR OWN POTENTIAL.
The path will always be there for those who decide to travel it.
11. ANY PERSON WHO SETS OUT ON A JOURNEY OF SELF-DEVELOPMENT WILL BE AIDED Guides, teachers, and protectors will assist the traveler.
12. THE ONLY SOURCE OF FAILURE IS A PERSON'S OWN FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE TEACHINGS.
Thank you for your input, dear Dorothy! Yes, water is very special, I will write an article for the newsletter group.

Good article, Elizabeth. So many healers I know recommend drinking water at room temperature, if you are going to drink liquids before meals. Hot tea will definitely slow one down, thus reducing stress and accentuating the digestive process. Keep the good articles coming. They are worth a lot. Love, Dorothy Porter RN BS MS CHN CHTP/I
Heart attacks and drinking warm water? sign of a good health
This is a very good article. Not only about the warm water after your meal, but about heart attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not col water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating. For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It wil line the intestine . Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer . It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal. A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

A simple check of our balance (left verses right side) is to notice
our nipples on our chest. If we are in reasonable balance and strength
on both sides (Yin & Yang) exhibiting no duality our nipples will
follow each other. Feel them with your fingers. Both should be firm or
soft together, one should never be firmer or softer than the other!
Looking down our own chest, our female side is our left, our male side
is our right. This has nothing to do with physical gender. A extremely
powerful, but fair to all, Lady or Man will have equally strong and
balanced halves!
And please use Our Third Eye, Breasts, Hands and Feet when healing.
Edit your request/prayer to make yourself comfortable. A person might
feel/say " With the good of the Creation/Universe" or "With my Soul`,
the Spirit`, Prophets`, Angels` and with the Planet Earth; I Heal,

When the three Catholic Priests tried to exorcise the negative spirit out of
the young man (not female), the Exorcist Movie was made about, one was
smashed against the wall by a grand piano and killed, while the other ran,
and the third Priest studied under a Judaic High Priest as well as entered
the DivineRealm to learn more about negative Spirits as well as learn to
call on the Arch Angel Michael, but had to meet Him and Work with Him in the
DivineRealm first. He was successful. More to this story, but know that
calling on Jesus Christ will not get the job done.
It is all a matter of physics. Negative energy vs. the High Frequency of
God, the Father and Michael's ability to encapsulate the negative or black
spirit.
Negative spirits are of different ages, talents, and voracity. They can
enter your body to make, what you call a disease, like Parkinson, by
attaching themselves to the base of the brain and spreading down the spinal
cord and interrupt neuronal signals. Or some have the means to enter into
main arteries etc. The science of Spirituality and Medicine.
If you have been in combat, alcoholic or into drugs, small black entities
can enter your mouth and genitals and attach themselves to the base of the
brain or spinal column. To drive them out you must enter into a visual state
and pretend to look up at the sun, or God's Light and bring the Light down
through your Spirit and body. You must hold it, as you will feel like
choking because it wants to stay, but keep it up and it will dislodge itself
because the High Frequency hurts it. As it leaves you will feel it and your
monitor will see it leave. A black ball about the size of a walnut.

This is a priest's service manual containing the only formal exorcism rite sanctioned the Roman Catholic Church. It was first written in 1614 under Pope Paul V, and was left untouched until 1952 when two minor revisions were included in the language of the ritual.
When first published in the 17th. Century the Rituale cautioned priests against performing exorcism upon persons in whom no true possession existed. And, with the increased advancement of medical science which more proficiently defined illnesses, true possession, both demonic and spiritual, became more difficult to determine. Some of the previously thought demonic interferences are now being diagnosed as hysteria, multiple personality, schizophrenia, paranoia, sexual malfunction and other neuroses brought on by childhood terrors and obsessions. Such diagnoses are making true demonic more difficult to determine.
"The 1952 revisions changed the wording that symptoms of possession 'are signs of the presence of a demon' to 'might be.' States other than possession, originally described as 'those who suffer from melancholia or any other illness' became 'those who suffer from illness, particularly mental illness.'"
These changes reflect the thinking of many modern, devout Christians who no longer believe in demonic possession. If such change of thinking is currently reflected, then one cannot but asked how many hundreds or thousands mentally ill persons have undergone the ritual of exorcism unnecessarily?
Still others do believe in demonic possession and enumerate signs that may show its presence. If the person, they say, exhibits paranormal capacities, shows superhuman strength, and above all, manifest knowledge of previously unknown languages, then he or she may be a candidate for demonic exorcism. The church may deem the person possessed when the above signs are accompanied by extreme revulsions for sacred texts and objects. Then the exorcist, with the permission of a bishop, performs the ancient ritual. Exorcism is not a sacrament of the Church, but a rite. The Rituale, though a guideline, does not give the exorcist a definite procedure by which to perform the ritual. He can vary according to his own discretion. After being as certain as humanly possible the victim is truly possessed he proceeds with the ritual.
The exorcist rarely works by himself. He is usually assisted by at least three other people. The first is generally a younger priest who is being trained or is trained in the performance of exorcism. His main duty is to maintain the continuance of the exorcism, and can take over if the exorcist dies.
The second person is usually a medical physician. He helps the exorcist with the victim. The exorcist is to continue to question the victim during which he attempts to discover the name and nature of the demon or spirit within. Under no circumstance is the exorcist to give the victim any medications. If this is required, this is the duty of the physician.
This person is usually physically strong and a member of the victim's family. If the victim is a female, then this third person should be a woman to avoid scandal.
Before performing the exorcism the priest should make a good confession and be absolved of all sins which the demon may try to use against him during the ritual. Then donning in a surplice and a purple stole (required dress for exorcist priests) begins the rite. During the exorcism certain prescribed prayers to be said such as the Litanies of the Saints, the Pater Noster (the Lord's Prayer), and the 54th. Psalm. These recitations are said before the victim. The priest may recite them in his mother tongue, but it is said to have been experienced that the recitations said in Latin seem to be more effective.
Each recitation is accompanied by more prayers including the Ave Marie (Hail Mary), the Gloria Patri (Glory be to the Father), the Anima Christi (Body of Christ), and the Salve Ragina (Save us, merciful Mary). Throughout these recitations the sign of the cross is made, scriptures are read, and hands may be laid on the victim.
The exorcist calls upon the demon or spirit to make itself known, and to succumb to Jesus Christ and depart the victim and leave the person in peace. When the spirit does so, the priest prays for Christ to help and protect the person. If the spirit does not depart the victim then the ritual is repeated again until the demon leaves. The Rituale also offers instructions to priests for the exorcism of homes and other places believed to be infested by demons and spirits. A.G.H.
Grounding, Centering & Shielding By Jim PathFinder Ewing (Nvnehi Awatisgi)
I've written about this a good bit, but with all the Earth changes under way, and the emotional upheavals people are experiencing, I've been told that I need to say a bit more, if only as a reminder.
When one embarks on spiritual work, the importance of staying grounded and centered -- and being shielded from unwanted energy -- becomes absolutely necessary.
By "this work," I mean those who are involved in Reiki, Shamanism and other energy, vibrational, alternative and complementary medicine.
When we raise our vibrational level, it's easier to "connect" with the Divine, to see our life purpose, to be guided by our inner wisdom and outside sources of inspiration, but we also become much more susceptible to being "blown away" by others with raw, unconscious energy, both by individuals who may be focusing on negativity or in group situations.
That makes grounding, centering and shielding of utmost importance if we want to stay on the spiritual path, not be confused or become misguided or to lose our connection with the authentic self and higher guidance.
Not to be indelicate, but what I tell my clients and students is to frequently throughout the day "put your butt on a rock."
I'm a Sagittarius (a real "head case") so I have a natural tendency as a fire sign to "go off" mentally and emotionally anyway. So, I have to ground and center often. Following my own advice, I try to put my butt on a rock at minimum four times a day.
Even in intense work settings, we are allowed "breaks," so when taking a "break," find a place where there are trees and rocks or at least stone or concrete in contact with the Earth. Lean against a tree, rock or wall, making sure your base chakra (butt) is in firm contact. While doing this, take three deep breaths, breathing in the Sun energy through your nostrils and releasing your breath (energy) consciously toward the Earth, so that your Life Force can be recycled not only physically but energetically (through intent). This completes the cycle of life, or Sacred Hoop of Life, that connects all beings to the Earthly Mother, and it will clear you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
A word on breathing: Most of us in the West don't breathe properly. That may sound odd, but in Western medicine, the way babies are birthed provides a shock to the newborn, where oxygen is abruptly sucked into the lungs, which burns from having a life atmosphere of oxygen and nutrients provided by the mother without pain. As a result of our birthing, and later conditioning, we breathe shallowly, from the chest. We should breathe deeply from the Hara (the source of our spiritual bodies). Or, in layman's terms, we should learn to breathe from the gut.
A number of modalities teach breathing, from Holotropic Breathwork to rebirthing to Drunvalo Mechizedek's Flower of Life workshops (see: www.floweroflife.org ). Grounding and breathing will get you centered.
If you cannot find a rock or tree or solid wall in contact with the Earth, I tell folks that you can still connect with Earth energy through intent alone, by "breathing through your feet."
To do this, do as above, but stand still and quiet, taking deep breaths (Sun & Earth) but feeling the Earth energy coming up through your feet, spreading up through your body and extending out through your limbs, to finger tips. Imagine yourself as a giant tree, taking in Earth energy through your "roots" (feet) and extending out to the farthest "branches" (fingertips) and beyond, swirling through your merkaba, or energy body, through space and time into other dimensions. Feel this Earth energy centering you and going out into all directions.
Some people tell me that they love to hug trees and roll in the grass and feel the Earth energy -- and that's truly wonderful. But you do not have to do that in order to have an essential connection with the Earth, nor do you have to be barefooted. You can wear tennis shoes, any kind of rubber-soled shoes. You can even be high in a skyscraper or flying in an airplane.
How is this possible? Easy. Earth energy is all around us; Life Force energy (Ki) is all around is. It is only our mental blocks or blinders that keep us from feeling this energy or using it in our mind/body systems. Consider: When you are high in a skyscraper or flying at 30,000 feet, what keeps your feet on the floor or your butt in the seat? Gravity, right? What is gravity? Earth energy!!!
All is energy. We can open our minds to allow integration of what we need or we can use our minds to create blocks, barriers and limits to growth.
"Yes, but . . ." is probably the greatest barrier to spiritual growth.
Why create a mental mountain? Don't use "buts," use your "butt!"
To access and use Earth energy wherever you may be, you have only to focus your being on bringing that energy into your mind/body system, through breathing and intent, as described above. Imagine a tendril or thread going from your base chakra going deep into the Earth, connecting you, anchoring you.
The reason I tell people to "put your butt on a rock" is not so much because rocks are essential, but because it's a physical activity that people can understand -- even me. If I get in the habit, which I do, of putting my butt on a rock throughout the day, even if I'm totally scattered and mentally confused, I can understand that activity. Once on the rock, and breathing, my centeredness returns.
No matter what situation you find yourself in during the day, remember to breathe. It sounds simple. But people often forget, allowing the central nervous system to put them on autopilot. But in times of stress, when you feel out of control, frightened or overwhelmed, no matter what unconsciousness you may be feeling, keep that in the back of your mind: Remember to Breathe! That will lead you to centeredness and will open the door for Earth energy to ground you.
The purpose of being grounded and centered is to make you present, truly present, "in" the moment. When you are present, you can think clearly and act, not react. You cannot control the future; you cannot control the past. But "in" the moment, you can do whatever you set your mind to do and by thinking clearly, being grounded and centered, whatever is needful will appear.
The importance of grounding was brought to me recently through Dreamwork. As you advance through various initiations spiritually (whether you are aware of them or not), you will find that you are working on others constantly.
With Reiki, your Reiki energy will turn on at odd times, your hands will grow warm -- you may never know if you are working on self or others, giving healing energy to those around you or at great distances, perhaps even in other planes and dimensions of time and space. You also will find yourself doing work in Dreamwork, that is, in nightly dreaming.
A few nights ago, I was with my Reiki guides this way working with a woman who had "blocks" in her aura, thought forms that were preventing her from enjoying the blessings that were raining down upon her. She appeared as a luminous egg as beautiful golden drops fell from the sky; but she could receive none of them for the dark forms blocking them in her aura. I started to clear away the dark forms and my guides said, "No. Work on her feet." Her feet? I asked. Why her feet? But I did as told. Sure enough, as soon as I began working on her feet, opening her connection to Earth energy, the dark thought forms melted away, transmuted by the Earth energy flowing into her aural body, disappearing like morning fog in sunshine, and the blessings were allowed to stream down upon her, to be reflected in her daily life where she could perceive them. My guide took me to a place where they showed me the Tree of Life -- the energetic source of all being. It was radiant in white light, dazzling, towering to the heavens. But my guides pointed for me to look below. There, I saw that the Tree of Life is as tall as it is deep, a perfect mirror above and below. Just as the branches reach to infinity, so do its roots run deep. In the center is balance. That is where we belong. We each are a Tree of Life. Our roots much reach deep, so that our striving can soar. The deeper we go, the higher we can reach.
This leads to shielding. In group situations, especially stressful or chaotic ones, no matter how finely we have raised our vibrational level individually, we can "take on" unwanted energy, become confused, even attract negative thought forms in our auras that can lodge there and create conflict in our lives, even illness (dis-ease). (This is especially true for people who have past-life "holes" in their auras where unwanted energy, thought forms, or spiritual intrusions can lodge. It's a good idea to have unwanted intrusions extracted at least once a year.)
So, whenever I go into group situations (a perfect example is Wal-Mart!), I make sure and shield beforehand and while there. Shielding is quite simple; it's harder to remember to do it. Shielding is done through intent. Imagine yourself surrounded by a blue egg of light or it can be white light; whatever feels comfortable to you. Some people visualize wearing a cloak or coat of mirrors, so that whatever energy is sent their way is reflected; only personal energy and Divine (crown chakra) and Earth energy are allowed within this "egg."
In Reiki, you can program your "shield" by implanting the emotional symbol in it, so that any negative energy encountered or sent your way is bounced back to the sender as Reiki healing energy.
Shielding is particularly important for anyone who does energy healing work with others. It's not an "insult" to the person being helped, but protects you from "taking on" any issues (unwanted energy) of the client and protects them from the same.
Since the "shield" is clear or permeable, allowing healing energy to pass through, the work is done without impediment. Consider it only a "strainer" of unwanted energetic debris. And, always, when finishing energy work, be sure to "seal" the client's aura (with the power symbol in Reiki), and ask the Creator to remove any "debris" or "footprints" from both the client and yourself, to be returned where they belong or transmuted for positive good.
Whenever we are going through emotional shifts, as the current Earth changes are causing through our entrainment with the Earth and Sun, we can be distracted or vulnerable to having our personal energy field disrupted or "taking on" unwanted energy.
It is important to remember to be grounded, to be centered, and to shield in group situations or when faced with situations where our energetic systems may be at risk. If you do not act with discernment in this way, keeping your being impeccable, coyote is always waiting to play a trick on you and teach you the lesson of being the spiritual warrior you must be in order to grow, develop, advance.
All our lessons are built upon the other; if we do not keep our energetic bodies intact, we run the risk of having the rug pulled out from under us until we can reconstruct and rebuild our vibrational level to where we want it to be: advancing and progressing.
Stay protected, stay grounded, keep centered. Remember: Butt & Gut: Put your butt on a rock and breathe! Aho.
I have had trouble grounding as well, for the past month or so. I have not this time noticed anything with the moon, but in the past have seen what you describe Elisabeth on a few occasions, as well as seeing the moon rise in the wrong part of the sky, and I saw that more than once. Since then, and that was about 3 years ago now, things with the moon have been steady, except for a few occasions where I saw it wobbling in the sky. I haven't seen the moon recently so I can't comment on it's current behavior, but am not surprised if it is behaving this way again.
I've definitely notices many energetic changes with humanity as a whole, and changes for me personally as well, and it's probably very appropriate for us to focus our energies on the earth herself again so that she can be steadied.
Blessings,
Trina

In the past, as part of periodic energy clearing work, I've been aided by the Creator in clearing my energy blockages along the vertical axis through me. For a number of years I've cleared areas, that some might call chakras, both above the crown and below the feet.
About a week ago, in clearing the energy lines below, and grounding, I sensed that connecting to Earth was not a stable situation. I was not sure if there was a deep unsettling in the Earth, a serious inbalance?
This did not seem to resolve, no matter what I tried.
Finally, however, thinking that this was due to Humanity, I shifted the grounding to two level. I connect/send energy to Humanity as a whole, with the continuation of the energy then going to Earth. This seems to lead to peacefulness and grounding.

As we have some doctors in this group, and in any case, as healers, I am forwarding the new information on heart attacks. It shows how extra oxygen can paradoxically lead to cell death in an emergency. Also, I will recommend people learn and remember the mudra that can help in case of heart attack:
The new science of resuscitation is changing the way doctors think about heart attacks—and death itself.
Ed Kashi / Corbis
Emergency: The goal is to give victims more time
By Jerry Adler
Newsweek
May 7, 2007 issue - Consider someone who has just died of a heart attack. His organs are intact, he hasn't lost blood. All that's happened is his heart has stopped beating—the definition of "clinical death"—and his brain has shut down to conserve oxygen. But what has actually died?
As recently as 1993, when Dr. Sherwin Nuland wrote the best seller "How We Die," the conventional answer was that it was his cells that had died. The patient couldn't be revived because the tissues of his brain and heart had suffered irreversible damage from lack of oxygen. This process was understood to begin after just four or five minutes. If the patient doesn't receive cardiopulmonary resuscitation within that time, and if his heart can't be restarted soon thereafter, he is unlikely to recover. That dogma went unquestioned until researchers actually looked at oxygen-starved heart cells under a microscope. What they saw amazed them, according to Dr. Lance Becker, an authority on emergency medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. "After one hour," he says, "we couldn't see evidence the cells had died. We thought we'd done something wrong." In fact, cells cut off from their blood supply died only hours later.
But if the cells are still alive, why can't doctors revive someone who has been dead for an hour? Because once the cells have been without oxygen for more than five minutes, they die when their oxygen supply is resumed. It was that "astounding" discovery, Becker says, that led him to his post as the director of Penn's Center for Resuscitation Science, a newly created research institute operating on one of medicine's newest frontiers: treating the dead.
Biologists are still grappling with the implications of this new view of cell death—not passive extinguishment, like a candle flickering out when you cover it with a glass, but an active biochemical event triggered by "reperfusion," the resumption of oxygen supply. The research takes them deep into the machinery of the cell, to the tiny membrane-enclosed structures known as mitochondria where cellular fuel is oxidized to provide energy. Mitochondria control the process known as apoptosis, the programmed death of abnormal cells that is the body's primary defense against cancer. "It looks to us," says Becker, "as if the cellular surveillance mechanism cannot tell the difference between a cancer cell and a cell being reperfused with oxygen. Something throws the switch that makes the cell die."
With this realization came another: that standard emergency-room procedure has it exactly backward. When someone collapses on the street of cardiac arrest, if he's lucky he will receive immediate CPR, maintaining circulation until he can be revived in the hospital. But the rest will have gone 10 or 15 minutes or more without a heartbeat by the time they reach the emergency department. And then what happens? "We give them oxygen," Becker says. "We jolt the heart with the paddles, we pump in epinephrine to force it to beat, so it's taking up more oxygen." Blood-starved heart muscle is suddenly flooded with oxygen, precisely the situation that leads to cell death. Instead, Becker says, we should aim to reduce oxygen uptake, slow metabolism and adjust the blood chemistry for gradual and safe reperfusion.
Researchers are still working out how best to do this. A study at four hospitals, published last year by the University of California, showed a remarkable rate of success in treating sudden cardiac arrest with an approach that involved, among other things, a "cardioplegic" blood infusion to keep the heart in a state of suspended animation. Patients were put on a heart-lung bypass machine to maintain circulation to the brain until the heart could be safely restarted. The study involved just 34 patients, but 80 percent of them were discharged from the hospital alive. In one study of traditional methods, the figure was about 15 percent.
Becker also endorses hypothermia—lowering body temperature from 37 to 33 degrees Celsius—which appears to slow the chemical reactions touched off by reperfusion. He has developed an injectable slurry of salt and ice to cool the blood quickly that he hopes to make part of the standard emergency-response kit. "In an emergency department, you work like mad for half an hour on someone whose heart stopped, and finally someone says, 'I don't think we're going to get this guy back,' and then you just stop," Becker says. The body on the cart is dead, but its trillions of cells are all still alive. Becker wants to resolve that paradox in favor of life.
Recently there have been many emails circulating on the internet warning about a new ruling the FDA is about to create that would threaten the practice of Reiki and other complementary practices making it illegal to practice unless youʼre a medically licensed health care provider. The emails have also said that our right to use vitamins and herbs will also be threatened by this new ruling so that they will only be available by a doctorʼs prescription and even then at very low dosages. People have been asked to protest this ruling by sending emails to the FDA by April 30.
This information is not based on fact. The practice of Reiki isn't being threatened by any proposed FDA ruling, nor is our right to access vitamins and herbs. The information passed around on the Internet has for some reason been distorted and misrepresented.
In December 2006, the FDA issued a guidance document that commented on an existing ruling. They are not proposing anything new. To summarize part of the existing ruling, it indicates that if a vitamin, herb or food manufacturer states that their product will cure an illness, that manufacturer must first get permission from the FDA before making such a statement. The same is true for any practice such as Reiki. If a Reiki practitioner claims that Reiki will cure an illness, then the practitioner must get permission from the FDA before making that claim.
With healing, we work with the idea that everything begins inside, with your consciousness. Tensions or symptoms on the physical level represent tensions in the consciousness.
When someone develops any symptom, it is interesting to see what was happening in their life at that time. The symptom represents a stressed way that the person responded or reacted to that situation.
We know that stress creates symptoms. The interesting question is, "Which stress creates which symptoms?" When we are able to quantify this process, we are then able to see the body as a map of the person's consciousness, relating particular symptoms to particular stresses and particular ways of being, in the same way that Type "A" Behavior has been able to be associated with heart disease. We can then identify a personality type or way of being that we can associate with kidney disease.
In order to understand this concept, we need to have a bit of background into some concepts about healing.
Orientation - You Are A Being of Energy
Your consciousness, your experience of Being, who you really are, is energy. We can call it "Life Energy" for now. This energy does not just live in your brain; it fills your entire body. Your consciousness is connected to every cell in your body. Through your consciousness, you can communicate with every organ and every tissue, and a number of therapies are based on this communication with the organs that have been affected by some kind of symptom or disorder.
This energy which is your consciousness, and which reflects your state of consciousness, can be measured through the process known as Kirlian photography. When you take a Kirlian photograph of your hand, it shows a certain pattern of energy. If you take a second photograph while holding a different thought, perhaps imagining that you are sending love and energy to someone you know, there will be a different pattern of energy shown on the Kirlian photograph. Thus, we can see that a change in your consciousness creates a change in the energy field that is being photographed, which we call the aura.
This energy field shown in the Kirlian photographs has been quantified, so that when there are "holes" in particular parts of the energy field, these are said to correspond to particular weaknesses in specific parts of the physical body. The interesting thing about this is that the weakness shows up in the energy field before there is ever any evidence of it on the physical level.
Thus, we have an interesting direction of manifestation shown through what we have described.
1. A change of consciousness creates a change in the energy field.
2. A change in the energy field happens before a change in the physical body.
The direction of manifestation is from the consciousness, through the energy field, to the physical body.
Consciousness------1------â–ºEnergy Field------2------â–ºPhysical Body
When we look at things in this way, we see that it is not the physical body creating the energy field, the aura, but rather the aura or energy field that is creating the physical body. What we see as the physical body is the end result of a process that begins with the consciousness.
We Each Create Our Reality
When someone makes a decision that leaves them with stress, creating a blockage in the energy field with a sufficient degree of intensity, this creates a symptom on the physical level. The symptom speaks a certain language, which reflects the idea that we each create our own reality. When the symptom is described from that point of view, the metaphoric significance of the symptom becomes clear. Thus, instead of saying, "I can't see," the person would have to say, "I have been keeping myself from seeing something." If they cannot walk, they would have to say, "I have been keeping myself from walking away from something." And so on. We must understand that there are no accidents and no coincidences. Things do happen according to a pattern and order.
With kidney disease, we can say that if the end result of the symptom is that the person is helpless, we would describe it from the point of view that they created it by saying that they have been making themselves helpless in their way of thinking, in their way of talking to themselves inside. Again, we would have to look at what was happening in their life at the time the symptom began in order to understand the context within which this would make sense to the person.
The Human Directional System
We can say that we have an inner guidance system, a connection to our Higher Self, or our Inner Being, or whatever name we choose to give this Higher Intelligence. This inner guidance system functions through what we call our intuition, or our instinct. It speaks a very simple language. Either it feels good, or it doesn't. All the rest is just politics.
We are told we should move with what feels good, and do not do what doesn't feel good to us. We are told to trust this inner voice. When we don't follow this inner voice we feel tension. We feel not-good.
Then, the voice must get louder. The next level of communication is through the emotions. As we move more and more in the direction that feels not-good, we experience more and more emotions that feel not-good, and at some point we can say, "I should have listened to myself when I thought to move in the other direction." That meant that we heard the inner voice. Otherwise, we could not have said, "I should have listened." If we make the decision we know is the right one for us, and therefore change direction, there is a release of tension, we feel better, and we know we are again on the right track.
If we continue to move in the direction that feels not-good, the communication reaches the physical level. We create a symptom, and the symptom speaks a language that reflects the idea that we each create our own reality. When we describe the symptom from that point of view, we can understand the message.
If we change our way of being, we have received the message, and the symptom has no further reason for being. It is able to be released, according to whatever we allow ourselves to believe is possible.
If we created the symptom with a decision, we are also able to release it with a decision.
As an hypothesis, we can imagine that someone makes a decision that they are not capable of doing things for themselves – perhaps in response to being told that often enough. From that moment, whenever there is something they want to do or achieve, they doubt themselves and convince themselves that they cannot do it. That feels not-good. It creates tension. The tension grows. They feel more and more not-good as they keep themselves from doing what they want and making themselves dependant.
Eventually, something happens to create a symptom on the physical level, and they find themselves affected in some way. It could manifest as any symptom that leaves the person dependant, or as something that might affect the legs, representing the person not standing on their own two feet.
Something had to happen on the physical level to create the symptom, in order to give the person the message on the physical level about what they had been doing to themselves. We do to ourselves literally what we have been doing to ourselves figuratively.
The effect is that the person becomes dependant physically. They are making themselves dependant in their way of thinking. They have been giving themselves reasons to not believe that they could do what they want. When they begin to do something different in their consciousness, they can notice that something different begins to happen on the physical level, and the symptom can be released.
We can trace the effect of the symptom on the physical level to gain more insights into what might be happening in the person’s consciousness. With kidney disease, we can say that the job of the kidneys is to cleanse the blood of toxins. If the blood represents the heart and the person’s perceptions of love, the toxins would represent the difficult emotions that can interfere with the person’s perceptions of love. The person, then, has not been successfully processing the difficult feelings concerning the area of love and relationships – and their understanding of the way love is expressed is to have someone take care of them.
Chakras And The Map
To understand the map of the consciousness that the body represents, we can turn to some ancient Hindu traditions which have been studying consciousness for thousands of years, and which use the language of the chakras.
Chakra is a Sanskrit word, and it means "wheel," or "vortex," because that's what it looks like when we look at it. Each chakra is like a solid ball of energy interpenetrating the physical body, in the same way that a magnetic field can interpenetrate the physical body.
The chakras are not physical. They are aspects of consciousness in the same way that the auras are aspects of consciousness The chakras are more dense than the auras, but not as dense as the physical body, but they interact with the physical body through two major vehicles, the endocrine system and the nervous system. Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a particular group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra.
Your consciousness, your experience of being, represents everything it is possible for you to experience. All of your senses, all of your perceptions, all of your possible states of awareness, can be divided into seven categories, and each of these categories can be associated with a particular chakra. Thus, the chakras represent not only particular parts of your physical body, but also particular parts of your consciousness. When you feel tension in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with the part of your consciousness experiencing the stress, and in the parts of the physical body associated with that chakra. Where you feel the stress depends therefore on why you feel the stress. When someone is hurt in a relationship, they feel it in their heart. When someone is nervous, their legs tremble and their bladder becomes weak.
When there is tension in a particular part of your consciousness, and therefore in the chakra associated with that part of your consciousness, the tension is detected by the nerves of the plexus associated with that chakra, and communicated to the parts of the body controlled by that plexus. When the tension continues over a period of time, or reaches a particular degree of intensity, the person creates a symptom on the physical level. Again, the symptom served to communicate to the person through their body what they had been doing to themselves in their consciousness. When the person changes something about their way of being, they are able to release the stress that had been creating the symptom, and they are then able to return to their natural state of balance and health.
Reading The Map
When we are reading the body as a map of the consciousness within, we work with the idea that the tensions in the body represent tensions in the person's consciousness concerning what was happening in the person's life at the time that the symptom developed. The person was feeling stress about something that was happening in their life at that time.
We are going to examine the map of consciousness that the chakras provide, in order to understand the language of the symptoms that are associated with each chakra.
The Root Chakra is associated with the parts of our consciousness concerned with security, survival, or trust. For most people, this concerns the parts of their consciousness concerned with money, home, and job. When this chakra is in its clear state, the person is able to feel secure, be present in the here and now, and be grounded. When there is tension in this chakra, it is experienced as insecurity or fear. When there is more tension, it is experienced as a threat to survival.
Parts of the body controlled by the sacral plexus and this chakra include the skeleton system, the legs, and the elimination system, including the kidneys. Symptoms in these parts of the body represent, therefore, tensions at the level of the Root Chakra, and we therefore know that the person is seeing the world through a perceptual filter of insecurity or fear. The adrenal glands are also associated with this chakra.
Each chakra is associated with an element. The Root Chakra is associated with the element of earth, and reflects something about the person's association with the earth, or how they feel about being on the earth, which we call Mother Earth. This chakra is also associated with our relationship with our mother.
Since this chakra controls the kidneys, as part of the elimination system, we would look at this person’s connection with their mother, and a sense of insecurity, perhapsin response to a strong mother who enjoyed expressing her love by doing things for the child, and being over-protective, leaving the individual with the sense that they needed this protection and help, contributing to their feelings of powerlessness.
The other chakra involved with the kidneys is the solar plexus chakra.
The Abdominal Chakra, as with the other chakras besides the Root Chakra and the Solar Plexus Chakra,is not related to the symptom of kidney disease, and is included here just to complete the map in general. It is associated with the parts of our consciousness concerned with food and sex - the communication from the body to the person within it, about what the body wants or needs, and what it finds pleasurable. It also is related to what is happening in their consciousness about having children. When this chakra is in its clear state, the person is in touch with this communication, and listening to and responding appropriately to what the body wants and needs.
Parts of the body controlled by the lumbar plexus include the reproductive system and the abdomen, and the lumbar region of the back.
The sense of taste is associated with this chakra, as is the element of water. When someone does not have a clear relationship with water (swimming, for example, or being on a boat), this reflects their attitudes about the parts of their consciousness that this chakra represents.
This chakra is associated with the sense of taste, and with appetite. It is also involved with the person's willingness to feel their emotions.
The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with the parts of our consciousness having to do with perceptions of power, control, or freedom. In its clear state, it represents ease of being, and comfort with what is real for one's self - being comfortable with who you are.
Parts of the body associated with this chakra include the organs closest to the solar plexus - stomach, gall bladder, spleen, liver, etc. - as well as the skin as a system, the muscular system as a system, and the face in general.
Because the kidneys are located at the level of the solar plexus, even though they are part of the elimination system, they make the map more specific. The root chakra is about security, confidence, trust, while the solar plexus is about power. Thus, a kidney symptom has something to do with a perceived lack of trust in the person’s power. Perceived insecurity concerning their ability to do things. This means that they do have the power, but do not trust in it.
The physical sense associated with the solar plexus chakra is eyesight. Anyone with impaired eyesight experiences tension at the level of their solar plexus chakra about the issues of power, control, or freedom. Nearsighted people also experience tensions at the level of the Root Chakra, and experience the world through a perceptual filter of fear or insecurity. Those who are farsighted experience tension also at the level of the throat chakra, and see the world through a perceptual filter of anger or guilt. Astigmatics see through the emotional perceptual filter of confusion.
The endocrine gland associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra is the pancreas. We can say that diabetics are keeping sweetness from themselves. When someone gets too close with sweetness, they feel threatened in their power to be who they are, and an emotion comes up to create a safe distance again. The emotion is anger. Diabetes is associated with suppressed anger.
The element associated with this chakra is fire, and the person's relationship with the sun says something about their relationship with the parts of their consciousness associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra.
The Heart Chakra is associated with the parts of the consciousness concerned with relationships and our perceptions of love. The relationships we speak of here are with those people closest to our heart - partners, parents, siblings, offspring.
The parts of the body associated with this chakra include the heart and lungs, and the blood circulatory system as a system. This chakra is also associated with the thymus gland, which controls the immune system. When this is affected, as with AIDS, the person's lifestyle separates them from someone they love.
The physical sense associated with this chakra is the sense of touch, in its aspect of relating to the person inside the body. For example, a massage given to someone with no sensitivity to what the person is feeling inside would be an example of the sensation we associate with the Abdominal Chakra, but when the masseur seems to have a sense of what the person inside the body is experiencing, then it includes the aspect of relating we associate with the Heart Chakra. When someone experiences extreme sensitivity about being touched, we would ask what was happening at the level of the Heart Chakra.
This chakra is associated with the element of air. When someone has difficulty with air, with breathing (asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, etc.), we say that their relationship with air reflects their relationship with love - difficulty letting it in, or letting it out, for example
The Throat Chakra is associated with the parts of the consciousness concerned with expressing and receiving. Expressing can be in the form of communicating what one wants and what one feels, or it can be artistic expression, as an artist painting, a dancer dancing, a musician playing music, using a form for expressing and bringing to the outside what was within. Expression is related to receiving, as, "Ask, and ye shall receive."
Parts of the body associated with this chakra include the throat, shoulders, and arms and hands.and the thyroid gland.
The sense of hearing is associated with this chakra, and the element of ether, the most subtle physical element, corresponding to what we find in deep space. The ether is the crossover between the physical and the spiritual dimensions. Someone looking at the world through this chakra watches the manifestation of their goals.
The Brow Chakra is associated with the parts of the consciousness concerned with the spiritual view, and the home of the Spirit, the Being within. This level of consciousness is associated with what western traditions call the unconscious or subconscious, the part of our consciousness that directs our actions and our life. From this level we are aware of the motivations behind our actions. We can watch our outer theater from an inner point of view.
This chakra is associated with the carotid plexus, and the nerves on each side of the face, and the pituitary gland. Headaches in the temples or center of the forehead are associated with tensions at this level. This chakra controls the entire endocrine system as a system, and the process of growth.
The Brow chakra, also known as the Third Eye, is associated with extra sensory perception (ESP), the set of all inner senses that correspond to the outer senses, which together comprise spirit-to-spirit communication. The element associated with this chakra is a vibration known as the Inner Sound, the sound that one hears in their ears that does not depend upon something in the physical world. Some consider it a pathological condition. In some of the eastern traditions the ability to hear this is considered a necessary prerequisite to further spiritual growth.
The Crown Chakra is associated with the parts of the consciousness concerned with unity or separation, and just as the Root Chakra showed our connection with Mother Earth, this chakra shows our connection with Our Father, Which Art in Heaven. At first, it is associated with our connection with our biological father. This becomes the model for our relationship with authority, and this becomes the model for our relationship with God. When there is a sense of separation from our biological father, the person closes this chakra, and the effect on the consciousness is a sense of isolation and aloneness, being in a shell, and difficult to make contact with those outside the shell.
The person feels as if they are hiding from God, or hiding from themselves, not seeing what is true for them in the deepest part of their consciousness, the part we call the soul.
This chakra is also associated with a sense of direction.
The parts of the body controlled by this chakra are the pineal gland, the brain, and the entire nervous system as a system.
Using The Map
When there is tension in a particular part of the body, this represents a tension in a particular part of the consciousness, about a particular part of the person's life. Being aware of these associations helps one to see the importance of resolving the tense issues in their life.
If the decision that a person makes creates a symptom on the physical level, it follows that a different decision in the other direction can help the person release the symptom. If a person has been making themselves helpless in their way of thinking, and that has resulted in kidney disease, then different decisions affirming confidence and trusting their sense of power can have the effect of releasing the tensions from their consciousness, and removing the inner foundation of the symptom. There are many different therapies that can accomplish this.
If the symptom served merely to communicate to the person what they have been doing to themselves inside, and the person does something different in their thoughts, the symptom has no further reason for being there, and can be released, according to whatever the person allows themselves to believe is possible.
When we see the correspondences between the consciousness and the body, we see the degree to which we each create our reality. In fact, those words begin to take on a new meaning. We see how everything begins in our consciousness and we are able to look around us at other aspects of our lives in the same way.
When we see how the body carries out the messages and deepest wishes of the Being within the body, we can realize that the process can go in more than one direction. If our consciousness is directing how we develop symptoms, it can also direct how we release these same symptoms. If our consciousness can make our body ill, our consciousness can make our body well.
The logical conclusion of this process is that anything can be healed.
Discussion: thank you very much for your input. Yes, what you say is absolutely correct in the case I know. So, besides getting physically and emotionally away from the situation, what energetic and / or other healing methods did you or your friends observe to be helpful in such cases?
They need to own their power, and know they can do things for themselves. We work with the chakras, and do energetic healing to re-balance the chakras - but the chakras only reflect what is in the consciousness, so by the person changing their attitudes about the perceived weakness and being able to do things for themselves, they no longer are making themselves helpless and are therefore owning their power.
Another approach would be to follow some of Anthony Robbins stuff.
Discussion: And did you see someone get away from dialysis?
I have seen people restore function to their kidneys and to no longer require dialysis.

The kidneys are part of the elimination system, and therefore related to the root chakra, and issues of security and trust. They are located at the level of the solar plexus, and therefore say something about power, control, or freedom. The combination tells a story of insecurity about power - a perceived lack of power. The person's way of thinking - the way they talk to themselves - is in a way that leaves them with an impression of being helpless. They have been making themselves helpless.
Often, this happens in situations involving a strong parental figure who expresses their love in a controlling way, leaving the person with a sense of not being capable of doing things for themselves.

Subject: Metamorphic technique
Hi E,
I was reading the e-mail on renal and metamorphic technique - used quite a
lot here in Aberdeen - such a
simple technique but very effecive - have a look at www.rosemountcentre.com
Under Elizabeth Harley where Elizabeth explains about it.
Regards
Margaret
The Metamorphic Technique is a gentle form of foot, hand and head massage that can be carried out by anyone with a brief training in the technique. It draws on reflexology in its theory and approach.
It does not claim any specific healing power but uses the idea that the massage helps the individual's own innate inner intelligence free deep blocks in their body's energy pattern and somehow bring about resolution of stuck patterns at the root of problems in their life and health.
It focuses on reflexology meridians in the feet, hands and head which correspond to the spinal column and in turn to the incarnation, gestation and birth of the individual.
It was devised originally by British naturopathRobert St. John in the 1960s. He had been practising reflexology on his patients but found he had more success if he gave up trying to bring about a specific result and gave a general massage of the spinal reflexes. It was further developed by his student Gaston Saint-Pierre in the 1970s who coined the term Metamorphic Technique and founded the Metamorphic Association in 1979.

Hello Elisabeth
You can certainly share this letter with the group if you wish. I don't mind if you edit parts.
As you might remember my husband was very ill last year with an unidentified illness that seemed to attack most of his organs including his Kidneys. It seems that so long as the kidneys haven't shrunk there is a limited time on dialysis to get them functioning again other wise its like you say its permanent dialysis until a transplant can be performed.
My husband doesn't believe in healing. He has total faith in the medical profession but in this case it wasn't happening for him because they couldn't find the cause. They tried everything.
He had just days to go to the crucial limited time of the kidneys functioning again. There was so much healing / prayes etc sent by lots of people and I felt totally useless.
I thought of trying metamorphic technique . I don't know why but the metamorphic technique came to mind. I hadn't been formally taught the technique, I just had a book on it. Well I couldn't believe it The next time I went in to visit him he was off dialysis and he was starting to recover.
I'm not saying it was the technique or it wasn't but I would recommend anyone give it a try.

medically speaking, there are two kinds of renal failure: acute and chronic. While the acute renal failure in most cases reverses within a few months, chronic renal failure seldom does get cured and will need dialysis and eventually kidney transplant (according to school medicine).
If you have experience as healer in chronic renal failure it would be great if you could share your methods and observations with us. Thank you.
As this is a newsletter all correspondence comes to me first. Please mention in your answer if you want it to go to the group and if yes, if you would like to be anonymous (I erase your email and name etc) or want your contact details to appear, too. We have about 450 members, most of them are other healers including medical doctors who are interested in or practise alternative medicine.
Dear Margaret,
I have been in India and fully agree with you. Just let us hope that the
new rules will not be overdone and the grains will not be discarded along
with the sprew. There are many gifted alternative healers in India, but
also at least as many quackery "businesspersons" including self-proclaimed
"gurus".

Dear Elizabeth,
Thanks for the info - I have to admit that since it is India, I would agree
with certain of the reservations that the government would have of some
practitioners as some of their training can be at least said 'dubious' and
learnt under circumstances that most practitioners would find unreliable.
For reflexology, Reiki and other world known bodies there should be more
ability to put a case forward as these (if they have been taught by relevant
certified bodies) are normally recognised worldwide.
These reservations are not new to just India but seem toi be happening
around the world - possibly due to
drug companies wishing to keep a monopoly. I'm sure there will be
recognised therapies that will keep a place in the holisitc field in the
future and that these will be reccognised on a reputable level and endorsed
hopefully by Government. Perhaps the teachings of Healing will eventually
be classed as teaching in module units with relevant certificates given by a
governing body. With prayer and a load of wonderful intentions, I'm sure
this will benefit the world at large and bring forward only those
practitioners who have the highest good of all in their lives.

Margaret

I call for prayers and energy to help in Blacksburg, VA, my home, and the
site of Virginia Tech, where there were such tragic events on Monday.
People realize that a fundamental change in the human heart is needed to
avoid such tragedies. Only love and energy can help us move beyond the
darkness and sadness that engulfs so many.
We have an active Reiki Club on campus that has been meeting for years at
Virginia Tech, but need lots of outside energy too. Calls and emails,
sending condolences and care/concern, have poured in to me and our community
over the week, from all over the world, for which I am most grateful.
Many thanks, warmest regards, Ed
CHANDIGARH: Finally, the Punjab government has decided to take action against practitioners of unrecognised therapies.
These unrecognised systems of medicine comprise electropathy, electrohomeopathy, acupuncture, mangetotherapy, reiki, reflexology, urine therapy, autourine therapy, hypnotherapy, aromatherapy, colour therapy, pranic healing, gems and stone therapy and music therapy.
Principal secretary (department of medical education and research) J R Koundal has issued a public notice, warning all such practitioners. The notice says that deputy commissioners and senior superintendents of police can take action against these practitioners under relevant law.
Koundal told TOI anyone giving training and teaching in these therapies would face action. Union ministry of health and family welfare had in the past issued instructions that the students, who had studied the system of electrohomeopathy, were not eligible to practise the system and treat patients.
In his communique to states and UTs (dated November 25, 2003), the Union health minister had directed them to ensure that the institutions under them should not grant any degree and diploma in the stream of medicine, which had not been recommended for recognition.
He had also specified that the term "doctor" was used only by practitioners of recognised system of medicine.
TOI had earlier reported that many institutions of electrohomeopathy were running in Punjab and Chandigarh, and various practitioners were treating patients by following electrohomeopathy despite the fact that the system of medicine was not recognised by the Centre.
