The Metamorphic Technique is a gentle form of foot, hand and head massage that can be carried out by anyone with a brief training in the technique. It draws on reflexology in its theory and approach.
It does not claim any specific healing power but uses the idea that the massage helps the individual's own innate inner intelligence free deep blocks in their body's energy pattern and somehow bring about resolution of stuck patterns at the root of problems in their life and health.
It focuses on reflexology meridians in the feet, hands and head which correspond to the spinal column and in turn to the incarnation, gestation and birth of the individual.
It was devised originally by British naturopath Robert St. John in the 1960s. He had been practising reflexology on his patients but found he had more success if he gave up trying to bring about a specific result and gave a general massage of the spinal reflexes. It was further developed by his student Gaston Saint-Pierre in the 1970s who coined the term Metamorphic Technique and founded the Metamorphic Association in 1979.

Dear Venetta,
thank you very much for your input.  Yes, I remember that your husband was ill and I am very happy to know that he recovered.
No, I do not know the metamorphic technique.  Would you please be so kind to explain what is involved, or is there a website that you recommend and where one could read up on it?  Thank you dear Venetta.
With blessings,
Elisabeth

Hello Elisabeth
You can certainly share this letter with the group if you wish. I don't mind if you edit parts.

As you might remember my husband was very ill last year with an unidentified illness that seemed to attack most of his organs including his Kidneys. It seems that so long as the kidneys haven't shrunk there is a limited time on dialysis to get them functioning again other wise its like you say its permanent dialysis until a transplant can be performed.
My husband doesn't believe in healing. He has total faith in the medical profession but in this case it wasn't happening for him because they couldn't find the cause. They tried everything.
He had just days to go to the crucial limited time of the kidneys functioning again. There was so much healing / prayes etc sent by lots of people and I felt totally useless.
I thought of trying metamorphic technique . I don't know why but the metamorphic technique came to mind. I hadn't been formally taught the technique, I just had a book on it. Well I couldn't believe it The next time I went in to visit him he was off dialysis and he was starting to recover.
I'm not saying it was the technique or it wasn't but I would recommend anyone give it a try.
I hope this helps somebody.
Blessings Venetta
