Dear Healers,
as we are with this on-topic in some of the groups and it is an important part of advanced energy healing work in almost every tradition, I would like to share a brilliant and interesting article that I received some time ago from a very experienced exorzist/entity clearer who is also a close friend of mine. The article is shared with his permission and reflects his own experience and view of things. If you would like to share your own experiences and talk about the topic of entity removal and related questions open-mindedly then you are very welcome. If you disagree with the topic or feel uncomfortable then just ignore it. Thanks.
Love,
Elisabeth

Subject: Removing Demonic Entities
Dear Elisabeth, as promised here are some thoughts from my own training and experience about removing demonic entities. Please feel free to share this with anyone who would benefit from these thoughts. Please bear in mind that my background is strongly New Testament Christianity, which should not be confused with regular church teachings or practices. I also want to make sure it is understood that while the following works for me, this is due to my intense experiences with these techniques. Each practitioner must find the method and spiritual principles that work for her/him. I do not suggest that my method is the only way or the best or "right" way to remove demonic entities. It is just the way that works for me.
I'll divide this into four sections -- 1) My understanding of demonic entities, 2) My understanding of the power of Christ, 3) Examples of removing demons, and 4) Common Myths about Demons.
DEMONIC ENTITIES are creatures, fundamentally no different than turtles or monkeys or goldfish, except that these creatures are highly developed and have malicious intention as their fundamental motivation. They are usually (but not entirely) disembodied beings who have the ability to form parasitic or symbiotic relationships with other life forms. Demons, like all creatures, are subject to the highest powers of the Creator. They can be hurt, removed, banished, or disempowered. When I say that these entities are fundamentally no different from other creatures, I am trying to establish the idea that demons are truly creatures -- they have limited power and scope. They are not gods, they cannot do unlimited harm. Their main weapon is the fact that they are usually disembodied and therefore invisible to the natural eye. Demons come in various forms and have various characteristics. Some are mere imps, irritating little creatures that cause trouble on a surface level, or produce relatively mild physical distress in their victims. Others are true demons who can have powerful and destructive influence on people, animals, physical spaces, and, in some cases, on communities, cities, or parts of the world. On the most destructive end of the spectrum there are "principalities and powers" that negatively influence nations and planets. I do not think there is much organization among demons, since their fundamental nature is malice. They fight amongst themselves for power and dominance, and do not trust each other or any creature. Theirs is a world of suspicion, envy, lust for power, and a consistent desire to break down the health and happiness of other creatures. They are wise to a point, but they are not super-intelligent. The tactics used by most demons are rather simple and have been refined throughout human history -- demons simply do what works. Their main activity and method is to lie. When a demon speaks, it lies. They cannot speak the truth because there is no truth in them. Everything they say is a lie, even if what they say is a fact. For example, a demon will take a fact and stretch it to imply something that is not true. If a human believes the implication, bondage and dismay creep in, hope and faith are weakened. Demons use facts to create lies. This is an extremely important thing to understand. Also, demons are not able to create anything. They can corrupt through lying, but they cannot create. Their power is to take something good, something created, and ruin it by lying. Demons are master counterfeiters, but they cannot make art, music, or love. They cannot build, they can only destroy, even if they use building to do it. Ultimately, demons are troublemakers who find a vulnerability and exploit it in order to kill, steal, and destroy.
THE POWER OF CHRIST is my personal defense and method of removing demonic entities. Most of my knowledge of removing demons comes from the example of Jesus in the New Testament. Jesus had an active ministry of casting out demons. My personal belief is that the power of Christ is infinite, and thus able to overcome any power of demonic nature. Not only is the authority and integrity of Jesus superior to any demon, but also the blood of Christ, which represents the pure sacrifice of a perfect being, is totally antithetical to demons, who are completely destructive and cannot abide pure love. Thus, the blood of Christ is a force no demon can resist. (As stated above, this is my personal belief and experience, but I'm not suggesting this as "ultimate truth" for others -- each person must discover the path of truth and life for her/himself.) Jesus had the ability to cast out demons by the authority of his spoken word. I believe this authority is given to students of Jesus in measure, based on how much each student can handle. Like any power or authority, this ability is given based on not destroying the student with too much at one time. As a student learns how to handle authority, more is given. There are people who have been given a great deal of authority in battling demons, but others have not been given much authority because it would cause harm. It is unwise to attempt to battle demons unless one is sure of one's authority. Assumptions about ability are a leading cause of grave harm to the practitioner and the person who needs deliverance from demonic forces. The power of Christ is learned and given within the context of being a student of Christ. Since Christ is my personal redeemer and teacher, this is a relationship wherein I have been given a small measure of authority over demons. But I recognize my limits and, although I have no fear of demons, I also do not assume more authority than I have been given. As with all things spiritual, "energy follows intention," and for me, the intention of Christ is the doorway of power that drives demonic entities away and brings healing and redemption to those victims of demonic attack. I don't think a person has to acknowledge Christ in order to receive Christ's help -- most of the people Jesus helped did not recognize him as a divine being, and even his own family could not see who he was until after the Crucifixion. The power of Christ is the power of sacrificial love, of a pure divine being laying down his life for those he loves. This is a sweet, powerful, and completely effective way to remove demonic entities. In practice, I do not become a sacrifice or take on the demon in place of the person I'm helping. That work has already been done by Christ. I am merely a representative of that finished work, a priest who administers the power of the ultimate sacrifice in the name of Christ for the good of others. Let me state, one more time for the record, this is just my approach and has nothing to do with traditional church doctrine. I make this clear in an effort to avoid misunderstanding. The church has misused and misrepresented Christ so often, it is difficult at times to communicate the power of Christ. But who Christ is, and the work that has been done, should not be discounted or unbelieved due to the stupidity of humans who have failed to represent this divine being properly.
EXAMPLES OF REMOVING DEMONS. The following are brief accounts of demonic entities that were removed by the power of Christ. Each example will give a summary of the spiritual principles and actual methods used to remove the entity.
- In 1971 a young man came to me with alcoholism. He had been through various treatment programs and was unable to break the addiction. An exorcism was held, and at the moment of deliverance a blue ball of light about the size of a soccer ball came out of the man's mouth and dissipated into the air. Immediately the man, who had come to the event drunk, was sober, and the smell of alcohol was gone. To my knowledge his addiction was broken. The blood of Christ and the name of Jesus were invoked to drive the demonic entity out of the man's life.
- A spiritual entity inhabited a public park and would cause people to experience mindless terror at a particular place on a walking trail. During a walk at night with another person, I encountered this demon and commanded it to depart in the name of Jesus. The sense of dread and terror rose to a pitch during which time I wanted to flee the area as fast as possible; however, I stood my ground and within minutes the fear subsided and the entity was no longer present. This was one of the first times I understood the concept, "there is no fear in love." The love of God for me and for Creation (the beautiful park) conquered the spirit of fear.
- I was asked to help settle the estate of a grandmother who died, leaving her home and fortune to three grandchildren. In the woman's bedroom was a spirit of dread that cursed those who entered. This spirit was so strong, no family members had been in the room for years. Even after the woman died, the spirit remained as a threat to anyone who dared enter. Taking several family members at once into the room, turning on all the lights, opening closet doors, and together proclaiming the name of Jesus and the power of Light, the demon was vanquished and the room became bathed in a clean, restful flow of energy that made it possible to take care of the woman's belongings and business affairs with a normal level of peace.
- When I was new to spiritual warfare I needed to go through some deliverance for spirits of fear that plagued me, making me extremely shy and self-conscious and rendering me ineffective as a minister. I asked some spiritual brothers to minister deliverance to me, and when they laid hands on me and commanded the spirits to depart in Jesus' name, I immediately felt sick and ran to the toilet, where I threw up convulsively for several minutes. I had a horrible headache during this time. Suddenly the deliverance was over, and all traces of illness were gone. I was in perfect health and was emboldened to share life with others. Eventually I was able to even do inner-city work, which was very dangerous, with great confidence and power. It is often observed that demons leave the body through vomit, retching, and other types of intense physical manifestations. This can be a trick used by a demon to pretend to leave before a real deliverance is complete, so a practitioner must not rely upon this type of experience as proof of deliverance from demonic oppression.
COMMON MYTHS ABOUT DEMONS include the following.
- Demons flee from holy water, crucifixes, bibles, and churches. NOT TRUE. Demons are very clever and can pretend to be repelled by holy objects, only to hide and then double their efforts to cause trouble. There are no objects or elements, to my certain knowledge, that consistently and of themselves repel demons. It is commonly thought to be effective to use holy objects in spiritual warfare, but this is a potential source of deception when dealing with ancient, intelligent beings who "know all the tricks."
- Demons are ugly, horrid monsters in appearance. NOT TRUE. Demons are often extremely beautiful, "angels of light," seductive, or even may appear as plain, ordinary creatures without any dramatic appearance. Again, they are very clever creatures who counterfeit but cannot create. If it suits a demon's goals to appear as a monster, this may be done; but if appearing as a cherub, a lovely human, or a soft fuzzy animal will create deception, the demon will do that as well. They are not bound to any particular form and the idea that demons look "demonic" is very a very dangerous assumption.
- Demons can possess a person at will. NOT TRUE. A demon has no power over someone except what is allowed. Therefore, the demon's first and most direct goal is to gain permission to come into someone's life. This is usually done by promising power. Anyone who wants power for wealth, healing, ego, or whatever reason, is a potential victim of demonic deception. Desiring power itself is almost certain to lead to demonic attack. Demons are drawn to people who seek power. The best attitude is not to seek power, but to seek love. Love heals and brings blessing. The desire for power is not necessarily about love, and demons exploit this to the maximum to deceive and enslave people. But a demon cannot truly possess or oppress someone who desires love and truth.
- Demons have tremendous power. QUALIFIED TRUTH. Demons, like all entities, have been given a limited amount of power. Demons have developed the ability to link their power with the power or life force of someone who wants more power, thus causing a multiplication of energy that can be very destructive. This power is not creative, only corruptive and corrosive. It is the power of lying and stealing, never of loving and healing. A demon will heal in order to corrupt. This is why the SOURCE of a manifestation is infinitely more important than the manifestation itself. The source matters! Demons that appear as beings of light or wisdom may even speak facts, or manipulate language to appear holy or divine, but the source is dark and the intention is evil. How much power do demons have? This is largely determined by how much power people give them by believing demonic lies.
- Demons are everywhere. NOT TRUE. Demonic entities are just like any other creature -- they are limited in terms of being in time and space. They are not godlike in terms of being omnipresent. A demon is a local entity, not a global entity. This means that a demon may inhabit a person, animal, room, house, or even a public place, building, etc. A very sophisticated demon may inhabit a stadium, large building, neighborhood, etc. In some cases groups of demons may work to corrupt entire communities or cities, or regions of the world. But the important thing to realize is that demons are CREATURES, not creators. They are limited. They do not tend to gather or work together well due to their lying nature -- they can't trust one another and compete for power. In almost all cases where demonic activity is present, it is the work of one demon with limited power working in a relatively contained area of time and space. There are not countless demons running rampant all over the planet. This is important to know because one of the tricks of demons is to exaggerate their numbers, power, or abilities. Like all bullies, if a demon can convince someone it is very powerful and fearful, then by believing this lie, the person actually MAKES the demon more powerful that it would be otherwise! What we believe about demons is a significant factor in battling them. They are punks, bullies, and liars. They are not gods. Like all creatures, demons are created things that have specific limits. We must never give them more credit than they deserve, and they deserve no credit on their own. When a demon speaks, it lies. This is because lying is the only language a demon can speak. So it stands to reason that if a demon speaks of its abilities or power, it is lying. It is the responsibility of the practitioner to know this and not believe anything a demon says. To do otherwise is to empower the demon -- why would we want to do that?
