The Bottom Line

********************************************************
Dear Friends,

The Law of Success in small business is to do only the right
things, for only the right reasons. That way, you always get it
right.

If you do them for the wrong reasons, it doesn't matter whether you
do the right or the wrong things because you'll never get it right.
The problem for most small business people is that they don't know
the right things to do or the right reasons for doing them. So it's
little wonder that 90% fail.

There are four main reasons, say small business owners for their
going into business:

1. To make more money than they did in a job.
2. To enjoy more financial security than they could in a job.
3. To be more independent than they were in a job.
4. To enjoy more satisfaction than they did in a job.

So I went about asking work @ home MTs these four questions:

1. Are you making more money than you did in a job?
2. Now that your personal and family assets are all at risk, are
you any more financially secure than you were in a job?
3. Are you dependent on fewer people now - like your client, your
internet service provider, your computer support provider, your
electricity provider, your creditors, your bankers, etc, etc, etc -
than you were in a job?
4. Are you less confused, angry, stressed, frustrated, anxious,
vexed, bewildered or dissatisfied now than you were in a job?

The fact is, for most of them, the answer is a resounding NO! As an
employee they earned more, had more security, worked less, worried
less and enjoyed much more independence and satisfaction than they
did now. So the answer's quite clear. NOT ONE of those four reasons
is a valid reason to be in business, because you can have them ALL,
with less risk, in a job.

The ONLY valid reason to be in business is for something impossible
to achieve in a job - apart from going broke! ;-)..

Sever all connections between your time and your money!

The whole point of going into business for yourself is to end the
connection between your time and your income... so you can work
less and earn more. Eventually, if you're successful, you should be
able to leverage your business, so you don't have to work at all -
yet you make all the money you need in order to enjoy your abundant
free time. Then, if you do work, it's because you choose to - not
because you have to.

By the way... when you achieve that degree of freedom, due to your
control over your time and money, there are four other things
you'll also enjoy - "those reasons" listed above. These are not the
right reasons why you should go into business. But they're great
spinoffs of the REAL reason you should go into business for
yourself.

The Bottom Line is simple... get control of your means of exchange:
your time and money.

Cheers!

1) Acusis President and CEO Speaking at the Global Conference
Institute's Fifth World Health Conference

Acusis President and CEO David Iwinski, Jr. spoke at The Global
Conference Institute's Fifth World Health Conference in Chicago.
During his presentation entitled, "Outsourcing to Increase
Financial Opportunities for Healthcare Institutions and Hospitals,"
Iwinski discussed the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing
and the healthcare industry's current outsourcing trends and future
opportunities.

"Hospitals and healthcare institutions traditionally outsourced
laundry, food, and technology services, but are now recognizing the
benefits of outsourcing their clinical operations as well," says
Iwinski. "Research shows that there has been a shift in the primary
reason why organizations choose to outsource," Iwinski adds. "It is
not just about saving money, but enabling organizations to focus on
their core competencies. By outsourcing, healthcare organizations
can focus their resources on delivering quality patient care."

2) Illegal telephone exchange in MT unit

According to police, the Director of one CIAPPI Telecommunications
India private limited rented one of the commercial establishments
in the area and informed the owner that he was keen on setting up
centre for medical transcription.

The director later took 20 MTNL's land lines and 24 mobile numbers
of a leading cellphone company. The company soon began running a
business in medical transcription. However, the business soon
shifted to receiving overseas calls to India, police said.
According to police, underworld dons like Chhota Rajan and Chhota

3) HP ships support jobs to India

Computer giant Hewlett-Packard has shifted a large chunk of its
Asia-Pacific call centre support operations to India, axing 68
Australian staff and putting a further 60 up for review.

The redundancies will hit "frontline" support services - call
centre workers who deal directly with customers for HP's personal
computer and printer operations in Australia.

The sackings come as HP consolidates five call centres - three in
Melbourne and two in Sydney - into two, with one based in each
city.

In addition to the 68 permanent and contract staff sacked on
Wednesday, HP will decide within six months whether a further 60
call centre roles will be moved to the India operation, with local
staff retrenched or redeployed.

4) Agfa and ProVation Medical Launch Joint Marketing Agreement

Agfa HealthCare and ProVation(TM) Medical, Inc. announced a
co-marketing agreement for ProVation Medical's ProVation(TM) MD and
RN clinical procedure documentation and coding compliance software
platform and Agfa's PACS, computed radiography and voice
recognition solutions. The two companies' initial efforts will be
targeted at the Orthopedics and Gastroenterology (GI) hospital and
ambulatory surgery center markets, with the potential to grow into
additional specialties in the future.

Agfa's digital solutions for the capture, communication, display
and archiving of medical images combined with Provation's coding
and compliance solution, yields a complete image and information
solution that provides complete documentation and automatically
generates letters, requests, reports and patient instructions. The
hospital benefits by a streamlined billing process which equals
reduced time in accounts receivable and drives revenue recovery by
way of correct coding that is linked to source documentation.

The physician benefits with the correct professional fee based on
the documentation, elimination of the manual billing sheet, and
allows for enhanced communication with referring physicians, and
patients with reports, images and diagrams.
