Hi. I'm a new member. I've been dealing with recurring boils for about
a year since a long hospitalization in spring of 2006. I'm 36 and work
full time. It's not obvious that I have any health issues on the
surface. I've been a number of cycles of zyvox and sometimes doxy. I
have a weak immune system (but I rarely catch colds) so I expect to
have some trouble getting over this, but I wonder does eveyone out
there use antibiotics each time they get a boil or do you wait for it
become really painful? I can't say that I've ever fully resolved a
boil without needing antibiotics or lancing, or both. I don't want to
develop a drug resistant strain, but I don't want the infection to get
out of control either and I don't care for the painful interuption
every couple of weeks. How many cycles of antibiotics has anyone else
had?
