Vickie,
I too had a hernia repair in Sept.2005, and the mesh patch was
inserted in my abdomen.About 3 weeks later a abcess started growing
in my (sorry don't know medical term for it)butt crack. In one week
it grew to the size of a golfball. I went to Er and was admitted
after lancing showed I had MRSA, I was admitted and on IV antibiotics
for 6 days. They told me it would be dormant in my body the rest of
my life, and if i had to have any more surgeries I was more likely to
have complications. Thank God I have had no more outbreaks and I
still have the mesh patch. Does everyone know some kinds of these
patches have been recalled. Thank You. Donna
