Re: Promise to my mom

Hi Kathie and thanks for your post.

MRSA is a global problem, but since I live in Canada and you live in
the States we would have to go about getting changes made within
government differently. Besides telling people about MRSA changes
in government legislation is what has to be done. Right now
hospitals where I live have no accountablity to their patients, for
example making their infection rates available to the pubilc. Plus
I have met so many patients at the hospital my mom was in (where she
acquired both MRSA and VRE) that before I started talking to them
about it had no idea they had it. You might want to go to my group
and read message number 29. The member that posted that message is
from the States. She talks about an organization in the States that
is making a difference and provides a web address and contact name.

I would like to personally invite you (and your members) to join my
group so that you could receive the messages I will be posting.
That way you can keep track of my progress with "spreading the word"
here in Canada (British Columbia) and then apply what you can to
help your efforts in the States. I know it's going to be a lot of
work ... but I'm in it for the long haul. I totally believe there
is power in numbers and with the Lord's help we WILL succeed! Right
now there are 20 MRSA groups listed on Yahoo (a few have nothing to
do with MRSA the infection) and I have joined all the ones that do.
I think we should band together and join each other's groups. That
way we will have the power in numbers and will be aware of what
members in the other groups are doing to spread the word and
ultimately fullfill our own individual promises to our loved ones
that had/have MRSA! The addie to view the MRSA Yahoo groups is

Sincerely,
Dee - Moderator of:
