I was recently within the last week diagnosed with CA-MRSA which is community aquired. It is not the HA-MRSA which is health Care related. There is a difference.
I broke out in those boils for a year, then all of a sudden I had the flesh eating variety pop out and required emergency surgery, of which I am now recovering from.
I have done a lot of research on MRSA and have heard that it is curable. This seems to be the main focus and answers. I am on Levequin which is very, very expensive. I had to take 4 doses, one every other day when I came home from the hospital. While I was in the hospital, I was on three different IV antibiotics which ran every 3, 6, and 12 hours. Since my MRSA was treated so aggressively, it is curable. I have seen cases so bad in nursing homes, that the resident was on isolation forr a long time, but they were eventually cured. I have worked in the health field for 20 years
and not once did I contract MRSA. Good hygeine, minimal exposure and constant hand washing is the best first line defense against this super bug. Cleaning with a 10 to 1 water/bleach solution in bathrooms, kitchens, ect is another source to help kill the MRSA. Once you have staph or have been exposed to it, you will always test positive for it. Any healthcare worker will test this way.
When the boils are open, be sure to disineft all clothing, bedding, ect, and bleach your whites. Dry everything in a hot dryer instead of air drying.
Here are a few things that others have been talking about as well, to help prevent the outbreaks.
2)Vitamin C
3)Allimax creme and spray or lotion for boils
antibacterial soap on wound
leave on for atleast 1 hour to let it soak in.
4)tea tree oil, then added 1 tsp of sage oil, thyme oil, yarrow oil, rosemary oil, and peppermint oil. All of these oils all have antiseptic qualities in them. Then add the oils to calendula salve with a little bacitracin ointment. shake it well and put it in a small spray bottle. Spray on the area and let dry cover with bandage.
5)The combination I use is essential oils, tea tree oil, lavender, and eucalyptus, thyme ..mix in equal parts
Just be sure to do your homework first and become well educated on herbal usage.
I have not personally tried these ideas, so I can not say they work. Others have and say they do. Others are saying the problem with this superbug, is that we as a society are so germaphobic that we created it by over using the antibiotics and germ killing soaps, hand washes, ect. Perhaps, but we can
learn to battle it and win as well.
I wish you all the luck,
T
