I'm thinking about seing this one guy who has staph infection "in his
blood". He said that when he got it, it was not treated right away (as
an athlete) so now he has it "permanently". He explained to me that
for the rest of his life he will have an outbreak of it here and there
and then he is contagious, but other than that it's ok. If we end up
getting into a relationship, I wanted to know exactly what I was
getting myself into. My friends say that I can't really kiss him,
since I will get a case of staph right away. I tried to look online
for some information about this but all I can find is general info.

So my question is this: Will I really get a case of staph infection as
soon as we kiss? what about sex? Is he only contageous when he has an
outbreak? Please help! I have read everything that ended from
words "common infection" to words like "death". I love this guy but I
don't want to compromise my health if this is something dangerous.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much for your response. I was not really worried but when you don't really know about something it's really easy to believe pretty much anything....
