I have been diagnosed with MRSA colonizing in my nasal cavity.
Tried two antibiotics at the same time for 30 days and bactroban
in nasal cavity but tested resistant to those antibiotics and still
had moderate colonization. New culture shows abundant
colonization and new antibiotics I'm resistant to and some that I
showed resistant to now are susceptible. How can that be?
My doctor doesn't want to do any more antibiotics but wants to try
procrit for 14 days. Anyone tried this and has worked? I have
boils and bumps all around my eyes and sinus area. My eyes
have never healed in two years from toxic mold exposure. I've
been diagnosed with dry eye and blepharitis for the eyes. NO
antibiotic drops or steroid drops have healed my eyes. Anyone
know of a good ID doctor in southern CA who also knows about
staph issues and the eyes? My son had toxic mold exposure too
but hasn't been tested for MRSA. Should I test him?
